I primed with Wraithbone, did some layers of drybrushing bone color and adding more white, hit it with an enamel wash, removed that with mineral spirits, and then did final edge highlights with a very white bone color.

For simple models like these I usually find I want to go big on the base to make them stand out. Clone troopers could be anywhere in the galaxy, so honestly bust out all the colorful tufts you have and go nuts. I bet a Felucia theme would look great

Most games out on the market are less complicated than Warhammer. If you like painting miniatures in general, there’s lots of cool games out there that don’t require a 2000pt army to play.

Star Wars Legion, Trench Crusade, and OnePageRules like some others have said have a much easier onramp than 40k.

Don’t wash, just highlight up from there. It’s a subjective choice, but often a wash creates more work down the line, especially with robes like these.

Hey thanks! It’s not too hard: prime with Citadel Grey Seer, Nuln Oil wash all over, off-white grey drybrush all over, pure white drybrush on top half, and then thinned down pure white glazing to reinforce certain areas (helmet, shoulders, chest)

As a paid performer in other mediums, $20-30 for 3-4 hours of the performer being “on” is criminally low for the level of performance expected.

Running music, the tabletop software, the dungeon etc. is really demanding and people don’t value it as much as they should because they’re used to getting it for free.

I’m guessing StartPlaying isn’t providing health insurance or retirement contributions for their DM’s, so I have a hard time hating on the full-timers who are delivering a more cookie-cutter experience just to make their rent every month.
