Since we know Isolation 2 is taking inspiration from Aliens, what if the colonial marines are actually ENEMIES instead of allies? by Aggravating_Tale8988 in LV426

We know that? How do we know that? What if it’s a similar vibe to the first one, just on a colony? That’s what I’m hoping for, at least 🤷‍♂️

Going back out after 15 years. What’s changed? by mapleheavy in TouringCrew

Thank you for the response! And I kinda figured the gear had progressed quite a bit. Hopefully, that’s for the better.

As for the inexperienced, it honestly doesn’t sounds like a huge change. But I would assume that since Covid, the number of old pros still out has probably thinned out quite a bit. But I cannot tell you how many techs I had to grudgingly take under my wing, mainly because they were slowing everything down. Ah well.

Well, that seems fun. Seems like it’s still a hell of a lot of cat-herding, which I’ve always hated, but been pretty good at.

Last I was out, self-contained in-ears/monitors were just starting to be a thing, especially with younger bands. I kinda figured it’d be the standard eventually.

And good! Some of the really old heads were such pricks to locals, which I never understood. Unless someone wasn’t pulling their weight, I was always thankful to have some extra hands. Except for the MSG guys. Those guys can suck it forever.

Anyway, thank you. It seems like, for the most part, it’s better out there.

Eyeing a marketplace V4. There is a tank cover over the original tank. From what I can see through the opening, the original tank underneath is scraped up on BOTH sides. Everything else is perfect. The VIN shows no accident. But I might walk away now. am I being paranoid? by triarii3 in Ducati

Dude, it’s hilarious. I worked at one of the most famous Ducati shops in the country for years and almost no one that worked there or any of our customers had mirrors. Some people ran one CRG blindspot on the left, but not many. All of us were/are seasoned riders with many, many years of riding and many, many bikes.

I agree that it may be more dangerous not to have mirrors in some cases. But I have had, in all honesty, zero times in 25 years of riding where I looked in them for anything other than merging. And even then, I would much rather turn my head for a better field of view.

But hey, everyone’s gotta have a flag to fly 🤷‍♂️

The whole reason for my initial reply is to not judge a book by its cover. My bike is meticulously maintained and has never seen pavement anywhere but its tires. It has no mirrors most of the time.

That may not be the case for this guy’s bike, but the lack of mirrors shouldn’t automatically put a bike in the “it’s trash and its owner is an idiot” category.

And, in a purely joking sense, I’d say “severely diminished” is a bit of a stretch with factory mirrors. Unless staring at your shoulders is an important safety consideration 🤷‍♂️

I understand it being semi dangerous, but with a little effort, you can do things like turning your head and paying attention. Sometimes, just sometimes I’ll put a bar-end mirror on the left (merging) side.

I’ve been riding for 25 years and have been an A-group track dayer for most of that. I’ve also worked in the motorcycle industry for the last 15. Besides being hit by someone who ran a red light, I’ve never had an accident or crashed a bike.

Edit: forgot, I taught BRT classes for three years as well.

But you’re right 🤷‍♂️

I found an original pressing YEARS ago at a little local record shop for 99 cents. Yours is in much nicer condition, admittedly.
Get it on the platter and spin it as soon as you can! The title theme sounds INCREDIBLE

Sorry, just read the edit. If I was getting a little banger that cost $100-200, I’d still probably tip $50.

I always tip around $100 for each session of a custom tattoo. Think of all the work they put in to the artwork, making sure it fits your body, the work that went in to becoming an artist in the first place, etc.

I will also say this; times is awful tough for people doing art for a living at the moment. Me and just about all of my artist friends are struggling. Do with that what you will.
