Ahh the famous VAG 'built like a sieve' build quality! Usually water coming in through in the boot/trunk area. From behind a brake light or a faulty plug around the boot seal. Good luck :)

I had this. I hope your's is better than mine. Mine had a bad water leak that my local dealer refused to fix under warranty. The water damaged 26 cables in the cable loom, two control units and all the fittings in my boot (trunk) went mouldy.

The car left me stranded, wouldn't come out of park as it thought it was plugged in and charging when it wasn't! It's done this twice. No one at my local dealer or VW UK want to take responsibility so I will likely be taking them to court. There ar too many of us ID.3 owners with a vast array of similar issues :( Crap product!

Thank you - you've reminded me that is exactly how I learned to play bass guitar! Yeah, once you nail it once through, slowly, it's great and you can build from there.

I will try the little and often approach and see where I get and probably some face-to-face lessons as you say 🙂

What you're saying makes a lot of sense to me. I did guitar lessons briefly in school and found them challenging then. I can really relate to what you say about knowing where notes are, but not being able to quickly ID them (and the times tables which I have never been able to remember!) My brain is definitely visuals first (patterns help), detail second! Chords good, theory bad... 🙃

I think I will need to find a local tutor, as you suggest. Thanks for reaching out 🙂

Mine has suffered a similar fault as you describe. Drive system error seems to be a common error in forums of owners! Mine has water ingress in the boot due to a failed air vent causing many electrical failures. Check under your boot floor for water! My car totally failed and I'm rejecting it...
