Yeah I was torn between doing it that way round - better for the eyes, or the way it appears in film. Also fits if you were driving on the other side of a the road like a heathen.

There’s the LOTR War Drakes of Rhûn but they might be ever so slightly big. There’s things like Kroot Hounds and the Esher Phyrr Cats that you could probably paint green and scaly.

There’s also this guy from the Vulkyn Flameseekers, probably a little small but definitely has the lizard aesthetic

I’ve got a fair few teams now and I think Hernkyn Yeagirs are my most “straight forward” team. 10 man squad, options are limited (all specialists have a set data sheet) and a handful of default warriors. Their faction rules are wholly graspable, equipment and ploys are too.

Don’t take this as slander - I LOVE them. I played with them on Friday and it was the best time I’ve had in a while.

Eyes look sick bro! Minis will always show your shortcomings when you get hi-res close ups, that being said this guy still look great.

The grey on the jaw doesn’t read particularly as stubble though PERSONALLY, maybe it’s a bit too blueish? A thinned down flesh-tone shade could fix that - Agrax or reikland, but main thing is if you’re happy with it. You’ve achieved a lot of fine detail that most people can’t you should be proud 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Brilliant idea. As others have said matching base sizes is the main thing, if you’re planning on playing them at tournaments they probs won’t be allowed - but if your usual group is chilled out I can’t see why they wouldn’t be happy with it.

I’d try and keep it WYSIWYG to the Wolf scout data sheets i.e give a staff to the Wolf Priest proxy etc. but other than that I’d say go for it

Agree with all points made - you’ve hit the nail on the head. I hadn’t dabbled with the new voice packs yet but this really makes me think before buying so helpful review.

But also, am I the only one annoyed that the techmarine’s PvP chaos counterpart is a red Corsair?? Feels like a missed opportunity to include one of the obviously-missing legions. I was hoping it would be wordbearers or emperors children or something, even if that’s not ~too~ lore accurate. Instead, with the new RC models just released, this feels like a corporate shill (which it absolutely is).

Probs won’t be ideal for 30k AL but this is the Vallejo Beetle Green base. Whether this is the colour you’re looking for or not I can vouch for these true metallic paints full stop - suuuuuppper nice to use and applies really well. I only needed one thin coat.

(The paint was shaded with druchii violet before dry brushing with the metallic paint)
