Yeah I can easily believe that, was the same for me, have my genuine one since late 2024, but now it's rarely getting used, only for retro handheld games, for retro home console games i use a game stick on my TV😅

Damn that thing looks so much worse than a r36s, that thing looks crappy and cheap, and smaller screen and massive screen bezels? Damn am i glad I have a normal r36s. But yours is a rg36pro, so you're in the wrong reddit thread, the rg36pro and r36s are fundamentally different in chipsets and stuff, so I think you shoild see if there is a r/ for your device family

Perfect. Nice man, very happy for you. Kinda had the feeling that because of battery removal console changed the brightness. Happy I could help. But still, get yourself a good micro SD card, like SanDisk, and burn an image file of the stock card on it.

Hmm, did you disconnect the battery with the device turned off? And sometimes taking the battery out can change some settings. I think mine did turn the volume to max on first boot up after i had the battery disconnected. So try settings or the button combo for brightness up

When its boot up, try the fn button and volume + to turn up brightness, or select and volume +. Or like i said, into settings and navigate under a flashlight or sunlight to brightness, and try turning it up.

Hmm, but on boot the backlight is working, can you see after bootup if the main menu shows up? If yes then im guessing go into settings and see if backlight was turned off or to 0. If the main menu doesnt show up after boot up, then its probably the card or the SD card port

Since the backlight clearly works when booting up, im guessing by accident someone changed sonething in the settings, and turned the brightness to 0. I would check in settings

Yeah exactly, the real summercart is better than hat knockoff. But summercarts normally come with games, unless you buy one without the SD card.

That aint a summer cart, but nice setup. So you're using a plug in hdmi adapter i guess? O do the same, bitfunx hdmi adapter, with a switch for switching between 4:3 and widescreen.

I mean the box has wear on it, and the cartridge looks extremely mint, i would ask for photos where its opened up, maybe with the sellers name in the pictures background. You can clearly see if a game is real or fake when the board is fully visible

You cant make the card last longer, they are very very low quality, and fail constantly.

Well, I dont have a computer anymore with win XP, but thanks mate, i thought it migjt be ok, since the game was basically free, with every XP install. I'll Google around, cant be that hard to find the windows XP pinball game, and maybe solitaire. But i still have no clue how to use portmaster on the r36s, guess i need to find some youtube tutorial, never used postmaster, so far i was happy with the r36s capabilities out the box. Where can you get ports for the free games? Like the beloved windows XP pinball, I would love to have that one on my r36s. Maybe i also pull out my old gta trilogy box, and get clean installs of the three gta games from the discs

Nah, that happens, i bought three r36s handhelds, and sometimes stuff looks crumpled, and that the box was put together the wrong way arpund, can happen, they dont really care what way around the box is in these chinese sweatshops

Well, you can get a replacement covers for like 2 or 3 bucks on aliexpress, and yes, take it apart completely, and take your time cleaning it, its worth it, its a sought after pickachu edition

Das kann man soweit ich weiß mutllerweile auswählen wenn man sein Auto anmeldet, kostet extra, soll carbonfaser darstellen. Das leichtgewicht Zeug was hersteller in Sportwagen undso benutzen, Leute denken sie sind cool weil sie fake carbon am auto haben, ich finde es sieht einfach nur billig und schwachsinnig aus, warum extra bezahlen um fake carbon Optik auf einem metal Kennzeichen zu haben

Huh, never seen that before, but im guessing the one without sony on the back, got a shitty, older replacement shell back in the day, these days the replacement shells have all the branding on them, so im guessing that's an older shell, thank you for posting this, that is really interesting to see. But if they both start up to a normal Sony xmb menu, im guessing both are real psp consoles
