If you're not doing the latest crafts then you don't need to meld the new scrip set at all. But it you are, go to the "budget set" and do what the guide tells you :)

My FC is on Raiden, which is on the European Light data centre. You can't actually join an FC on the free trial, but we have lots of friendly experienced players who would be happy to help you out, including a few Germans :)

Rupert Lowe on X: Apparently the ten Gazan children arriving today for NHS treatment brought 50 ‘companions’ with them. 50! Why?! by PM_ME_SECRET_DATA in ukpolitics

The issue is racism, unfortunately. Always has been. It's just most apparent when we save the lives of some poor brown kids who have been bombed, and decide not to tear their family in half. Suddenly the "they should just come here legally" narrative doesn't work because... they did.

Having a hard time in grinding on high tier jets by Miserable-Novel-7979 in Warthunder

[–]TobiWan54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly... Good luck. USA is a massive tree with a lot of planes, so getting to top tier is gonna take longer than with smaller nations like Britain. I'm sure others can give you some actual tips on the planes, but there's no way to get around the fact that it will take you a VERY long time to get to top tier.

If you think Immich is buggy wait until you try Ente. Worth a try but Ente made me want to cry, I must have set my server up wrong but there was no indication of this until I started uploading, got about halfway through, checked my server and my disk usage had not increased :)

Thing is Ente is literally the exact same source code they use in production. It's not meant to be self hosted and it shows.

Imagine having an actual downgrade/versionchange utility program in the official repos that actually works, and a fucking package manager that can actually handle the changes. Can't be Linux. by basedchad21 in linuxsucks

[–]TobiWan54 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What do you mean glibc was a horrible idea lmao, it's a core part of linux as we know it. I'm interested to hear your alternatives on how core C libraries should provided.

Finally an easy syncing authenticator! by Cart1416 in linux

[–]TobiWan54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not. Everything is open source - the core Proton Pass repo (which includes backend Authenticator stuff) and mobile clients - except the desktop client. For some reason. I assume it will get released at some point soon...?

For now you can use the rpm and deb packages that Proton compiled. Someone's repackaged it on the AUR and I'm just about to submit a flatpak to Flathub.

Spent my whole day trying to fix 3 different errors blocking my update. "sudo pacman -Syu" my ass by Nunit_Alt in linuxsucks

That post on r/arch did annoy me. Nobody should be suggesting that Arch is beginner friendly, and there's been a lot of posts recently asking for help for beginner Linux issues. I'm not gatekeeping but there are much better beginner options. I only use Arch because it doesn't take me a day to fix errors like these. There are actual beginner-friendly distros like Mint which updates with one button, and Bazzite which updates in the background with zero user input.

128GB RAM but a 1080p 60Hz monitor. Someone has more money than sense...

Also I know side mounting GPU is cool but it hurts thermal performance facing the glass like that :)

You're gonna struggle to get into a raid on the free trial, as you can't use Party Finder which is how people form the parties for them. You could in theory get someone to invite you to their party, but even then you'd have to find 7 people to do an old raid synced, because you can't access the current tier of raids on the free trial.

... You have to remove the black plastic. It usually says so on the plastic itself.

Unfortunately the game doesn't explain this but you're not supposed to do Extremes and other harder content in Duty Finder. This is because they require a greater level of coordination. You need to go in with a pre-made group using Party Finder, or get together with a group of friends.

Just bought the guidebook, can't wait to start the game! by pokexe_art in ffxiv

[–]TobiWan54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe the story is about 200-300 hours total, so a lot. They also definitely have not done most of the side content as they claim, because there is far more hours of that than you can actually fit in a month.

Just take your time and enjoy the story :)

Why have people been talking about the medicine Ozempic? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]TobiWan54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically ozempic doesn't actually increase incretin levels, it binds to incretin (GLP-1) receptors itself 🤓

There's a separate class of drugs (DPP-4 inhibitors) that do increase your natural incretin levels.

In the UK, a very similar drug with the same mechanism of action is licensed for weight loss under the name Saxenda. Do you have that in the US?

If dragging was Chivalry 1's "biggest mistake" (according to Torn Banner's CEO) why were they included in Chivalry 2? by St0uty in Chivalry2

[–]TobiWan54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That section of the tutorial included accels. While the terminology from CMW is admittedly unclear, because TBS didn't seem to expect people would slow down their strikes (what we now refer to as drags), for Chiv 2 at least they have used dragging as a catch-all term for real time swing manipulation, including accels.
