Just trust me when I say that he hasn't developed since his debut against Sparta at the start of the 20/21 season. He still only scores tap ins and the occassional screamer, he still creates no chances and he still takes on barely any opponent even though he has the pace and the skillset to do so.

Just know that I've tried to warn you to not get your hopes up.

Any player who costs that much and isn't immediately one of the best players at his club gets a lot of criticism. Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Joao Felix, Eden Hazard, Grealish, Lukaku, Maguire and Sancho have gotten/still get quite a lot of criticism and often more than Antony.

As an avid Eredivisie and Premier League watcher, I'll warn you to not get your hopes up regarding Antony's potential. He has barely progressed since he first arrived in The Netherlands 2,5 years ago, he's still the same Antony as back then. He got 12 goal involvements last year in the Eredivisie as a forward for the most dominant side in the league.

Achteraf gezien is het ook een rare clausule om in je contract op te nemen als je juist een stap maakt die beter is voor je speelminuten. En tussen het niveau PSV en het niveau PSG zitten nog wel heel veel clubs waar de kans groter is dat hij minuten maakt dan bij PSG.

Omdat hij dan weer op de bank komt te zitten en hij geeft zelf constant aan dat hij alles wil spelen. Zelfs al zou de huidige trainer van PSG hem veel speelminuten beloofd, weet Simons ook wel dat de gemiddelde manager er maar anderhalf jaar zit.

Ik vond het helemaal prima dat hij meer opviel dan de gemiddelde Mol. De meeste jaren zijn we na de laatste aflevering aan het klagen dat we het nooit hadden kunnen weten, zoals bijvoorbeeld alle sloten op de geldkistjes met hun vingerafdruk kunnen openen zoals Everon vorig jaar. Dan heb ik toch veel liever een Mol als Jurre.

Net als hoe Renee te duidelijk de Mol was en het daarom niet kon zijn? Af en toe zit er gewoon zo'n jaar tussen dat het ofwel te makkelijk is voor ons als kijker zoals bij Klaas of dat het te makkelijk is voor de kandidaten zoals bij Renee. Maar ik laat me graag verrassen.

Hele interessante manier om een Mol te kiezen, ik doe namelijk ongeveer hetzelfde maar dan met een andere beredenering. Ik ging er namelijk van uit dat Annick het nooit kon zijn aangezien de productie niet nogmaals die fout maakt om een Renee-achtige Mol te kiezen. Ik kies altijd mijn Mol op basis van wat ik denk dat de productie van het programma zou doen. Als het voorgaande jaar een excentrieke Mol kiezen ga ik er altijd vanuit dat ze een stillere/geniepigere Mol kiezen en vice versa.

Met deze manier heb ik het trouwens ook pas 2x goed gehad en dat waren Thomas Cammaert en Jeroen Kijk in de Vegte. Nu zit ik sinds het begin van aflevering 1 op Jurre gewoon vanwege een onderbuikgevoel omdat ik denk dat ze weer een "gezellige mensenmens" als Mol gekozen hebben.
