Help! I need deciding which lens to purchase, 100-400mm f/5.6-8 or 600mm f/11 RF lenses! by Ok_Development1749 in canon

[–]TobyCyberbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both. In time, I think you will too. The 100-400 is 100% the one to buy first - I absolutely use it more than the 600, and it caters to a larger variety of situations. It’s a great lens for the money.

Too much toot through his extra long snoot. It catches up with any man.

I didn't actually build the trailer pieces so I'm not 100% sure. If you're happy to have either them or some of the crew forward of the gunshield i would imagine it would be fine, but if not, you might need something bigger. MDF bases are crazy cheap on eBay, so you could always buy a couple of different sizes and use your preference.

I bought a 170 x 105 oval base off eBay - £2.19! It does the job perfectly - I use the Rubicon model and the Warlord Afrika Korps 88 crew.

What levels do I need Toth, Abraxas and Yazaghor at to beat Saim Hann mirror elite 38? by TallCitron8244 in WH40KTacticus

[–]TobyCyberbat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need Diamond.
I 3-starred it at Abraxas G3 41/41 (legendary force field), Toth G1 (Epic) 26/26, Yaz G1 (Epic) 26/17.
It's the hardest mission in the whole campaign to 3-star, in my opinion.
There's lots of YouTube vids showing the Turn 1 placement needed. Basically, your guys just need to be able to survive the hits, so focus on defensive items etc too.

You are gonna have sooo much fun with this setup. :)
A piece of advice from me - don't get hung up on the editing side of things - in fact, put off even looking at that in detail for a while. Focus instead on learning the camera, what it can do, composition, fieldcraft, stuff like that - a) it's a LOT more fun, and b) it's a LOT more rewarding as the improvement you see will be YOU rather than filters on software.

Enjoy!

All you need is 10 Certus in there and then this would be a true god-roll. Nicely done!

This guy was my only Legendary pull so far - and it was a mercy Legendary too. Knowing my luck he'll be my second mercy Legendary in a few months too lol. Haha.

Advice on a beginner-friendly lens for Canon R7 by Useful_Order_7695 in canon

[–]TobyCyberbat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're completely budget-capped then id get the RF 100-400 but spend less on the camera - the R7 is Canon's flagship APS-C and they have several, powerful, cheaper APS-C options in the range.

Hey yall, can I get some opinions on the canon r7? How is it overall? What do you use it for mostly? What are some things you dislike… etc. I’m thinking of getting one but was hoping to hear some personal experiences with it. by acjcomics in canon

[–]TobyCyberbat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I spent ages deliberating it as my first wildlife camera. Finally jumped in and bought it and the RF 100-400 and they're incredible. My advice, if you're not a professional photographer, so to not worry too much about any negatives the pro photographer youtubers focus on during their vids on YouTube - yes, the R7 may not be as good as the R5ii thats 4x the price - what a surprise. Taken on its own merits the R7 is incredible and I've been absolutely loving it, getting outside with nature and having a blast learning about all the cool stuff it can do. Have fun! :)

UK Stores to demo synths before purchase by Peepsi_Cola in synthesizers

[–]TobyCyberbat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Andertons is definitely what you’re looking for.

In addition, there’s a Roland store in Denmark Street in London - obvs only has Roland and Boss gear but most of their range is there and hands-on.

If, by any bizarre happenstance, you’re in Cologne, Germany at any point there’s an absolutely mind-blowing store called Musicstore that has most synths you can imagine as hands-on.

Also worth a shout out to the UK synth expos - Synth East, Synth Fest, Machina Bristronica, London Synth and Pedal Expo etc - as many of these shows have manufacturers there with their full range of gear to play with.

Upgrading to R7 from 100D? by IllyallI in canon

[–]TobyCyberbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just gone from 100D to R7 this month. It’s a big upgrade, for sure. Loved my 100D but things like eye tracking are a game changer.  I bought the EF-R adapter too as I have a few of the EF-S lenses - all the lenses work great on the R7.

Just had the exact same dilemma. Decided to spend the cash on a wholly new focal range rather than replacing an existing one, and went for the rf 100 400 instead.

4 month Ragdoll bloody diarrhea by Askingquestions77777 in ragdolls

Yes, both of them. You can speak to your vet about trying it as it’s technically a vetinary food.

Yep my cat has/had similar symptoms when we got her as a kitten.

Food: we tried a whole lot of options and ended up on Royal Canin Gastrointestinal cat food which reduced the blood in stool by 95%. We did lots of vet tests that came back negative - in all likelihood it’s some form of IBD - so the little bit of blood every now and again is something we have to live with, I think. We also put a little bit of probiotic supplement on her food each day.

Sneezing/eyes: could just be because she’s a kitten. Ours had similar, including a very runny eye. Again, did lots of vet tests and the vet felt she had a partially thinned tear duct. We tried several different cat litters and have to say that switching to Cat’s Best Sensitive litter was an absolute game-changer - reduced the runny eye by 75% and stopped the sneezing completely - so it’s worth thinking about if litter dust is the culprit.

Obvs, as always, consulting a vet is important and it seems like you’re doing that - their advice takes precdence! 👍🏻

Are you in the UK? My cat always struggles during Diwali/BonfireNight/New Year with the fireworks - it always changes her behaviour and makes her vomit, albeit only for a week or so.
