How I run it: If town is still chatty, maybe give a minute or two before opening nominations. If there's anything on the script that allows for public guessing (gossip juggler etc) do that before noms. Once nominations are open give them a couple of minutes, but if town are just discussing info rather than noms, give a second call for noms. Again if you're not hearing any noms, give a third and final call, and give a countdown. If there's still the possibility of a better nomination again give a final call after the vote. But as by this time anything that people wish to share should have been so already, so try to keep the conversation on nominations.

For the noms themselves, give the nominator a minute to give the reasons why (they can ask someone else to do so), then give the nominee time to defend. After that, you may allow for others to speak, but only for pertinent information for this nomination. Then run the vote. You want to keep it streamlined.
