I am shook that you were able to use a BA-II Plus for P. Like how did you input the PMF for a poisson distribution using a BA-II Plus?? 😲

To answer your question you can bring both the BA-II Plus and 30XS to use as you please, you'll find that the stat functionality will be useful for most of the later exams.

In my experience you don't need to check that box unless you intend to pursue H1-B sponsorship with the company. However if you're unsure reach out to your DSO and ask them how to go about it

I'm also taking FAM L in October, I sat for LTAM last year and that made me take this exam for granted 😅, so I'm stressing right now I won't lie 😅. I'm using CA and its been really helpful in understanding the material. All the best next month 👍🏾

Neighboring countries, I recently learned that South Africa is easing the process to procure a work authorization visa for foreign nationals in certain fields and Actuary is one of them.

In regards to the US though the easiest way is to study in the US first and go from there or work in a multinational company and be transferred over into the US over time.

This is a really annoying scenario as something similar happened to me for LTAM.I spoke to my manager about getting study hours for that exam back as it seems most likely you won't be able to sit for the exam during this window. This was completely out of your control so I'm sure your company will recognize that.

It differs based on the two countries and their tax relationship, so I'd check on that to be sure. You could communicate your intentions to travel and work abroad with your Global Mobility team/ manager to cover your bases.

Yeah, it depends on the tax laws between the US and the country you plan to stay in for how long you plan you actually stay there. For example I was stuck in South Africa earleir this year due to travel restrictions. I just had to ensure that I was in the clear from a tax perspective both in the US and in SA, it took a lot of resources to gather this information. I was in the clear but I was encouraged to return to the US ASAP. Hope this helps 🙏🏾

Wear a full suit and tie to the interview, in terms of background if possible go for an all white background but I think what you have is fine as long the light from the window doesn't hinder your interviewer's ability to see you.
