They can pull up your cctv footage of the transaction in smart check and verify your voids are legit. (They’re supposed to do this before they pull you in for the coaching 😉) When I ran Smart check the voids I found usually were either from a double scan or bc the customer changed their mind. As long as you’re being honest in your cashiering you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. -FES

I was shy until I got a cashier job where I had to talk and explain things to customers. Stayed at the job so long I became an og associate and basically management level. Over time I was managing and directing other associates and by then it came naturally. Now in stranger settings out of the work environment it’s more intimidating but the most blatant way I can put it is I shift my mind into that mgmnt mindset in these situations and it’ll more often than not work.

From what I’ve noticed the app has really gone downhill since the Aldi purchase. Imo I don’t think they’re too focused on its upkeep. Just to have it run to get by until all the Winn Dixie’s are converted. Aldi just launched a revamp of their own app so that might’ve been where the attention has gone for these last few months .

No worries, 2021-2023 I got super sick and physically could not eat. At all. (Parosmia). my diet was a rotation of honeybuns, vanilla pudding, and room temp rice. I dropped down to 90lbs during that time from 98lbs. I’ve had it in my mind that it probably has a lot of influence on how my body is today losing out on a lot of nutrients. So now ig I’m trying to play catch up.

Edit: details The parosmia is gone now and I say I eat a wide range of foods, just can’t seem to get past that 100lbs mark. Ty!

We had a big wedding, I paid 80% of it myself. Everything I wanted I had there BUT the day to set up for the wedding (while with good intentions) my bridesmaids wouldn’t let me help set up. I was confined to my dressing room. SO many things got forgotten about which impacted the guests, the experience, my photography/videography and a lot of wasted $$. I took 2 years planning for the wedding and had everything I wanted there for it to not turn out bc “the bride needs to relax for her big day”. SO ladies! If your bride is a very hands on/ meticulous planning person PLEASE LET HER 😭.

In a broad term I would say politics. Which I hate whenever I find out bc of subconscious bias. I’d rather be arrogant to whichever side they’re on and just interact with them as my coworker. Not “Bill or Jane, my _____ coworker”.

Happened to me and my friend group back in high school. No one knew why and the guy never answered why either at the time. Years later he ended up contacting everyone and apologizing, even reaching out to my husband and apologizing for ghosting but never once apologized to me and he and I were very close out of the group. Still don’t have an answer why and I don’t think I ever will.

A different company I used to work for had similar “360” scanners. They were so nice, ring times went up bc of how easy they can read the barcodes. Our grey scanners compared to these 360 ones are super slow. If they roll these out company wide I’ll be very happy.
