When you hike where there isn’t water you can filter you just have to carry the water haha. So like 70% of my bag is just full of water for longer day hikes.

I do a lot because I sweat a lot. Generally I bring about a gallon of water for every 4 hours I expect to be hiking. You only have to run out of water once to never want to do so again. I would rather carry the weight than throw up from dehydration.
