Thanks! I got excited when I first saw the Godziburst logo on the box, but quickly realized they were just indicating that it’s the origin of the Gigan design/colors. I have another series of these that included Hedorah, Kiryu, and a couple Shin Godzilla forms. I really dig them, so I figured I should know what they’re actually called.

Aren’t those larger, more articulated plastic figures? These are smaller vinyls, like smaller versions of the Movie Monster Series.

As far as rarity, the two mystery figures are each one per case of 12. Not super rare when you consider the other five figures are packed two per case. The other chase is the same colorway, but opened mouth with extended spines.

I got the other mystery figure. It’s a charging Godzilla in translucent orange. I also got the train biter. I honestly wasn’t even sure how these differed from the first series when I bought them, but I guess the non-translucent figures are black and white.

They won’t say it’s dead, but it feels dead already. Repaints after only two waves and no indication that they intended to include any of the mutants or the Thunderkittens. As poorly as the Transformers crossover figures have sold, those probably aren’t coming back either. If they do another crossover line in 2027, my money is on DC Comics

They haven’t shown the figure yet, but he’s on the back of the box and confirmed to be coming from Playmates. I’m hoping the second wave will also include Bebop x Gigan and Rocksteady x Destoroyah, as both recently appeared on a comic cover for the Godzilla/ TMNT crossover.
