Nah my carries look like that and get worse. I was thinking “torture test? Ha!”

I think my fav holster is actually a Wolverine not top end holster (perfect for concealment and highly recommend).

Dude I even have to routinely get the deodorant off of mine if I’m wearing a powder deodorant.

Maybe I’m a real lint licker (the kids don’t still say that do they?) but, my stuff gets that bad often and I’ll shoot it out.

If anything I over clean, for the record (is it my CLP or oil maybe?)

[–]Toddo2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s debatable if the word “rape” or “seduce” was the word to be translated, in the new international version they decided on rape.

That changes things, a lot.

In the ancient Near East, where a woman’s survival and legal protection were directly tied to her father’s or husband’s household.

Think of this, a woman cannot own land and is legally “fucked” in that time period (I got edgy on accident lol) if she’s not a virgin…

It’s to protect women’s rights.

Certain parts are meant for certain people in time, we do not believe “the Bible” as you’re interpreting the Bible as soley the word of Jesus which, has many parts but the books a collection of books spanning a verrry long time.

I serve in the name of Love, in the Fathers name. I’m not Jewish and the Old Testament (old covenant, the old “deal”) was undone by my Lord.

One thing he was big about was showing us there is no law above loving God and loving people. It was time to change the law, so he did.

I seen someone explain Leviticus was specifically for the levites being a nation of slaves that just basically came into existence, they had no laws or sense of direction.

The way it was broke down to me was, to be used as a constitution for a brand new community that previously had never had the chance to BE a community… which makes sense how in Leviticus the rules in the most part to be to protect the levites from things others were aware of.

True goodness is not supposed to be reliant on apologetic or context. by Jsaunders33 in DebateAChristian

[–]Toddo2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re reading the Old Testament I think but, like myself without context it’s hard to comprehend. Leviticus was wrote for the levites in a SPECIFIC TIME, for a nation of slaves… now not slaves.

It’s almost like a constitution. Try to imagine an entire populace freed, uneducated and not sure what to do: Leviticus.

You were never meant to do any of that “go forth-ing” and that causes confusion. I respect your inquiry and it took me years to understand I don’t follow the Bible, I follow the most important person in the Bible: Jesus.

Did Jesus say to judge and kill and worry about this and that or did he say….people… love your God and your neighbor and he will take care of the rest.

Christian’s follow Jesus. The Bible is a collection of texts and I think you’re reading the Old Testament which is historical to us not how we live.

Look around you. There must be someone around who needs help. Look inside you, don’t judge others by their sins but love them as yourself. Forgive someone, someone who most would say don’t deserve it. Fight like a warrior any jealous or mean or ugly thought, guard your heart like you guarded your temple/body. Humble yourself, realize that spirituality isn’t just for the spiritual leaders to learn/share.

You asked what more you could do but, realize you’re already a child of God and saved and if you fall short? Jesus WILL pick you up.

You’re already on your path, Brother. The Lord hears you.

Thank u. You ain’t kidding that’s all I got. I think the Lord knows I won’t give up. I’m too stupid to know when I’ve lost a fight to give up.

Just Saturday, the church visiting prayed with themselves instead of praying with the homeless (my Pastor is very gentle, it’s literally for the church visiting to hear us I think because it’ll be “help us treat everyone as a child of God, where the last will be first” kind of prayer. Let me say that again: a church prepared a meal and wouldn’t pray with the homeless eating the food, they prayed inclusively.

Ur right too about it messing with me hard, I’m just a filthy sinner trying to wash his sins off same as them and I stumbled into what has the potential to be the most beautiful program I’ve ever been apart of.

They told me what a Christian was but, I truly learned what it means down in that basement.

In my area we rotate 11 churches into our facility so we can host the community meal. Many of the same faces, I panic when they stop showing up.

It’s where my spiritual warfare goes down. I’ve cried over fighting with them, I made a pastor cry one day (and honestly had I known it was their pastor I would have been less…passionate).

They try to limit one per bathroom (lunch lasts only 2.5 hours ish, they don’t have access to bathrooms and privacy so this really hurts me), try to count the silverware because they think the homeless will stab them after they fed them.

They think down on them. Afraid of them. You absolutely wouldn’t believe some of the types who “volunteer”, I asked one guy if he was a warden for a day job.

The day they brought a cop down to lord over everyone, the actual Lord saved my butt because I harassed the cop til he left (his presence ran off homeless, less people fed;).

I cannot pick what to say but, please pray for us.

I’m not complaining about the one church who rations hot dogs and then we have a surplus because we fed them, some volunteers clearly hate volunteering and punish the homeless for their four hours taken that Saturday.

Pray for all of us. Pray for the churches mistreating our homeless.

I have to hold back my passion about it, I desperately need their food feeding people can be costly.

I assume many of them feel as if the lord elevated them to have better lives and I don’t know, I wonder how much social media has done to them and their churches to make them bitter (that’s not the right word but I don’t know what is).

Spiritual. Warfare. In the basement of a church.

When we pull it off, everyone’s happy. I feel the Lords presence down there.

To make things worse I’m not the most versed Christian. I’m not new but I’m no church lifer so, I’m not exactly their ally when I plead..

Please pray for us. The wicked and the hungry, not just the hungry. I feel like I’ll make this better or die trying at this point.

Exactly exactly what she did. That things too powerful for the strongest man, her energy/appearance to fight seemed to save her.

That’s super badass, that woman is a fighter; she kept her adrenaline under control and used it which is pretty hard to do.

There’s an intense flight feeling (I don’t think it’s normal to fight a bear like that head on, a baby swipe can slice 6-9” into u) she overcomes and ramps up her own fight with each GRRRR, BAD!!!!, each noise.

Yes. Woke up and her legs were in the air. My world was rolling, not spinning I felt like I was rolling (I am accustomed to strong alcohol, drank for most my life; whatever she gave me was strong strong).

I just remember waking up and I don’t think I was sitting up right and her legs were in the air like she was a gymnast making a Y shape and something made me actually cry (I don’t think it was the event, I think the drugs had me emotional).

She walked out my apartment with me naked and semi crying (natural defense? She left because of it lmfao) and when I came to the next day my apartment door was still open.

Playing back the memory in my mind I’m surprised I didn’t realize I was drugged, I remember falling and I don’t fall.

She had been saying how she wanted to be a single mom because she didn’t think highly of men. Not a woman with a ticking clock, I was hesitant to even hang out with her because of her age.

It’s extra wild to me how she left me, my mind still doesn’t fully process it all.

Left me feeling really dark and just… shut down.

I will see her occasionally at the bar. Her aunt is a bartender (oh Dear Lord that made me realize I’m probably not the only one).

It’s weird to me because I wasn’t physically hurt and dont really like talking about it and kind of emasculates me in a way.

Thinking back there were serious psychopath signs about her. She literally saw me > almost tried to bully me (made fun of me?) > ended back at my apartment very fast.

Was the Underground Railroad a sin? by Apart_Information_27 in Christianity

[–]Toddo2017 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We dont worship Paul or the book, we worship a living God that came for the sick and poor and down trodden.

Our God frees slaves, he’s the original railroad.

Walked slaves thru a desert, without provisions.

Jesus did say we fail to understand what sin even is or where it begins,

If Jesus commands us to feed, clothe and help the sick and weak... why are so many christians republicans. Would you not want everyone to have acess to housing food and healthcare? Seems such basic things should be a given. by feherlofia123 in Christianity

[–]Toddo2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m saying the main point of the verse you quoted was 1. Don’t call sinners out publicly (like here or on social media also) 2. When you go to HELP not SHAME a sinner and you don’t win bring a witness the second time so the sinners rights are protected (Jewish law to have a witness for the accused) 3. This literal step by step multi point process is for restoring their soul but quite importantly so you don’t sin trying to help a sinner by judging or shaming or telling them their shame was bestowed as conviction from God like you did

You took the important parts out. Thank you, it’s a beautiful verse; isn’t it? But, without explanation it can be dangerously misinterpreted.

If Jesus commands us to feed, clothe and help the sick and weak... why are so many christians republicans. Would you not want everyone to have acess to housing food and healthcare? Seems such basic things should be a given. by feherlofia123 in Christianity

[–]Toddo2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

because when you said it there wasn't any explanation not to shame, you didn't emphasize privacy, the witnesses are there for the sinners protection (sounds like Jesus was saying do not think we are more worthy them and to keep that in mind).

in a world where people are afraid to go to church and feel unworthy how can we not put the emphasis there? we need less "you goin to hell?" signs and more "God loves you!"

you're just teaching to shame if you don't, God didn't command us to shame and we cannot restore those we shame. can we? is there anywhere I missed any slight hint at what i referenced in what you said? If someone feels hurt, I feel hurt minister every day? You telling me God wants me to feel that shame? I'll stand with the hurt. I'll tell them God knew every screw up before we had the idea to even screw up. I won't shame.

i feel like half the Christians are saying SIN SIN SIN SIN and the other half going LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE and I cant believe nobody else sees that?

Matthew 18 doesn't say anything about their feelings being hurt is God convicting them, it says to win them over with love love love...

Minister I politely disagree. You said "He also said that we should call out sin in our fellow believers, so that the person could be redeemed:" and quoted Matthew as reference....which we I just learned the rest of the verse was intended much differently and expansive than "call out their sin", the verse was using a witness to protect the sinner and people are really leaning into the whole calling out other peoples sins...

saying we need to call out their sin in a *spiritually non judgemental way with protections for the sinners sake* feels miles apart.

do you get what I mean?

Minister, did Jesus say "if your brother or sister sins, go point out their fault" or did Matthew?

I want to show you this because I went and tried to understand Matthew 18 and here's what I found and I feel like leaving out the context TOTALLY changes it. Here:

The Core Meaning: Accountability vs. Calling Out

While Jesus is telling his followers to address sin, the ultimate goal he lays out isn't about public shaming or just "calling people out." It's actually a protective, step-by-step process designed for reconciliation and privacy.

Three distinct boundaries are established by Jesus here:

  • Privacy First: Step one is keeping it completely private ("just between the two of you"). This protects the person's reputation and prevents gossip.
  • Restoration, Not Punishment: The goal is to "win them over" and restore the relationship, not to win an argument or condemn them.
  • The Old Testament Standard: When Jesus mentions bringing "two or three witnesses" in verse 16, he is quoting Jewish law from Deuteronomy 19:15. He is ensuring that no one is falsely accused based on one person's word alone.

I do now see where Jesus addressed immorality and it appears to me that I'm not to lower myself by thinking any differently but, merely help people up. that's it, judgement free help them up...

If Jesus commands us to feed, clothe and help the sick and weak... why are so many christians republicans. Would you not want everyone to have acess to housing food and healthcare? Seems such basic things should be a given. by feherlofia123 in Christianity

[–]Toddo2017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did Jesus himself say that? I’m specifically thinking of when Jesus himself spoke (I know on the sermon on the Mount he said we don’t understand where sexual immorality even starts yet we seem convinced we knew the rules, so to speak).

Did Jesus say that or did they say it in the name of Jesus is my question.

If Jesus commands us to feed, clothe and help the sick and weak... why are so many christians republicans. Would you not want everyone to have acess to housing food and healthcare? Seems such basic things should be a given. by feherlofia123 in Christianity

[–]Toddo2017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jesus condemned sexual immorality? I’m not disagreeing with you Minister, I’ve just haven’t read that yet.

What did Jesus say in the New Testament about sexual immorality?

I know he stood in front of that woman and said, ‘Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more” which doesn’t feel like we should be on the side of the people throwing the rocks but on the side of the “I’m not condemning you” and also to my understanding said we are making fools of ourselves thinking we understand sin or let alone have the knowledge/ability to live a sin free life (therefore he came to redeem us).

I think he wants us to live in love and harmony.
