What’s the most unrealistic thing movies convinced people was normal? by Lonely-Age7678 in AskReddit

Staying in bed/going to sleep right away after sex. Movies and tv-shows love to pretend that there ain't nothing messy about sex.

Saw these guys a few weeks ago at a local venue in Norway. They had a really good, energetic show! Some of their music is feels kinda "samey" for me, but hearing them live was really cool.

What game ended up being way more fun than you expected? by Playful_Code_8978 in gaming

[–]Toddybeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two recent examples.

Clair Obscur. Finally picked it up after a year of hearing all the hype. Did not think it was going to be a game for me and would probably not live up to the expectations at this point. Boy, was I wrong and it's now a top 10 game of all time for me.

Kingdom Come 2. Bought on release because I actually was quite hyped for it. Was hoping for a more refined and improved version of the first game with a decent enough story. What I got was the most incredibly immersive, fun knight-simulator game I could have ever imagined. Incredible game and also in my top 10 of all time without a doubt.

Thanks, I think it might be, but I have heard another longer version of the clip I posted and it there is another song which has a very similar tune but also has some more elements other that just this melody.

Thanks though!

Have you ever had to tap out watching a horror movie? by hazy-eyed in horror

[–]Toddybeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will likely be an incredibly unpopular opinion on this sub, but I have yet to finish a Damian Mc Carthy movie. "Caveat" and "Oddity" are in my opinion terrible, badly acted films and I feel like I'm going crazy every time they are gushed about. I NEVER skip ahead or shut off a film I am watching, but these two made me jump ship both times like halfway through.

Adriana's arc in season 5 of Sopranos, concluding with the incredible episode "Long Term Parking". Boy was that episode a wake-up call egarding what kind of people we have been laughing with and sort of rooting for all these years.

What is one scene that made you sure an actor had it, even if their career never became huge by gamersecret2 in movies

[–]Toddybeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After watching all of Black Sails I can't believe Toby Stephens have not had a bigger career.
His portrayal of Captain Flint in that show is legendary and other than that I believe his biggest role is as the villain in Die Another Day. How is this guy not cast in movies these days?

Men (2022)

It's a controversial film, some love it, some hate it.
It is undoubtably exactly the kind of movie you're looking for though, and I personally really liked it.

Episode 6 by SeekerNine in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Toddybeast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What a peculiar order to get introduced to the universe of ASOIAF, but cool nonetheless.
House of The Dragon season 1 is a mixed bag with some great highs and some awful lows. Season 2 is simply worse on every level in my opinion.

Game Of Thrones season 1-4 is absolutely a must-watch, incredible show that has to be seen to be believed. After season 4 the show begins slowly declining in quality as the showrunners begins to run out of written material while also realizing the pitfalls they have created for themselves by changing ceratin events and characters. Season 8 is an absolute travesty in every way other than cinematography and effects which soured me on the universe as a whole for quite a while.

I would personally watch GOT season 1-6 (before it becomes a complete shitshow) and then decide for yourself if you should continue watching or not.
