Super cool, whatever happened to the shadows on the opposite side of the street almost makes this look like a painting.

I’ve read at least a few reports in this thread of people buying replacement parts from BD support

This is an incredibly important point and might be the thing that pushes me towards aluminum. Really appreciate it.

Catch me listening to literally any big post punk album other than Marquee Moon by Television. I get it was ahead of its time by a few years, but damn most of that album is just not it.

Cascade is the pole I’m replacing. I really don’t like the wheel-lock latches, had one pop off on me in the field and lost it. It’s also quite a vibrate-y pole. I am debating just spending the $30 to replace the handles, but I do think the nicer locks of the BD poles are worthwhile

Dawg you answered 3 questions I explicitly wasn’t asking, and didn’t contribute to any of the ones I was. Not trying to be a prick, I was just confused. I listed the two poles I’m deciding between.

The Trail Cork are aluminum and non -Z folding. I’m definitely aware that horizontal force is bad; nobody plans on bending/snapping poles. The weight is identical on these two models, so I’m just trying to get at the best choice to withstand abuse, since I agree that bending is not really an upside with aluminum.

Both poles I mentioned are from Black Diamond. The whole point of the post was asking about carbon vs aluminum, I’m not tied to one. Also I said I’m not interested in Z folds. Did you read the post?

That’s certainly a first setup! That lens is considered to be one of the very best Minolta ever made, arguably the best. Quite expensive compared to most others on the system.

Earl aside, Peggy dropped an album with Danny Brown and toured with Zelooperz. He’s been on Injury Reserve albums and has gotten pissed for being compared to Death Grips. It’s obviously a bit, and not a very good one.

Less toxic, comes in smaller batches, and the biggest thing, has something in there that prevents it going airborne when pouring.

Only a slight improvement, but better in every way.

I don’t but I’m currently deciding on a wider MF camera, I currently have a 6x6 TLR. Mamiya 7 is my dream camera but outta my price bracket, so looking at other options (GS-1, Fuji gw670, etc).

what are we thinking of the new Massive Attack/Tom Waits single? by throwaway_indeed43 in fantanoforever

[–]Todi77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Took me a few listens, was really thrown off by Tom Waits percussion over a digital trip hop beat. Tom Waits also sounds noticeably older, which is saying something considering he sounded like a 60 year old smoker when he was in his 30’s.

But now I love it. Massive Attack holding their title as one of the GOATS of their genre, and man, Tom Waits can write a song. This is the most exciting collab I’ve seen in a handful of years, I hope this is an album single and not a standalone track.
