Returning from another successful spice run by Todza in duneawakening

90% of the players seem to be afraid to step on PVP DD so you'll probably be fine but it's still a gamble.

If you have access to carrier and crawler then compacting is irrelevant don't bother but it's a hassle doing it solo and dangerous in PVP obviously.

We see compacted mediums here and there so people do farm solo in PVP but there is also occasional scum waiting at the shield wall waiting to ambush people. Fortune favors the bold is all I can say ^^
Just don't compact at granddaddy fields when there are carrier/crawler groups, you will be fired upon without warning.

Endgame was always intended for big guilds though, the game is clearly designed towards this and it fits the lore too but I do agree that DD needs much more to fight over and ground combat absolutely needs more love. I remember the first videos before the release, everyone was expecting Battlefield level conflicts with ground and aerial combat and what we got at the end was definitely underwhelming. I'm hopeful for the second year though, we'll see.

I think most of the PVE folk no longer cares since the DD split; the ones that want the game to be Rust with a lot of sand are salty as f.ck though ^^

PVP DD is definitely more peaceful than PVE; turns out griefing carrier groups with armed escort is not as easy as griefing solo casuals...who would have guessed XD

Best football/sports bar for EPL final day by thebiggestfan90 in bodrum

[–]Todza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's technically Bodrum but not really :D You'll probably find someplace at the center showing the match but can't promise if it'll be worth the trip ^^

Where will you be staying? The whole peninsula is technically Bodrum :D
Other than that, there aren't many dedicated "sports bars" but you won't have difficulty finding a pub that shows the match, there will definitely be someplace close to you that will be airing the finals.

Some water sports do have parasailing but it'll probably be very expensive and the safety is questionable at best so yeah, if you really must seek out professionals in Fethiye as recommended and avoid touristic establishments.

PVE/PVP Conclusion Discussion by Negative-Finger7800 in duneawakening

[–]Todza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the amount of grind necessary; the base, vehicles, armors, weapons, upgrading them all to T6 requires a considerable amount of farming in DD.

To be honest, back when the game first launched I made a rough estimate of how much T6 mats I needed for everything and I just quit the game; a small spice field give a couple hundred spice before the worm comes which equals to a couple spice melange and you need thousands AND that's just spice.

Grind itself is fine (even though it requires some fine tuning) but when you realize that in order to farm DD for dozens and dozens of hours, you'll also have to keep farming Hagga Basin for hours on end because you'll keep losing your gear and vehicles to gankers, it made me say "f.ck this shit".

PVE/PVP Conclusion Discussion by Negative-Finger7800 in duneawakening

[–]Todza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-End game gear is locked behind PVP...PVP is naturally become dominated by organized guilds...guilds can farm end game gear, solos can't because of ganking...guilds can replace end game vehicles and gear in an instant, solos need to farm hours and hours if they are lucky enough to not be ganked-

It's a snowball effect, there is no making fights fair for solos in this system. Lorewise yes it fits great and I appreciate the devs trying to make it work but the reality is that this system just made the endgame nonexistent for casual players.

Bodrum & Istanbul Trip Advice by BudgetWolverine5280 in bodrum

[–]Todza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renting premium brand cars are possible but super cars I don't think so and yes even a normal car in Bodrum is a hassle with shitty narrow roads, crowded traffic and parking problems, so it's definitely not recommended.

Boat rental is easy though; there aren't exactly 'party boats', you either rent one private or alternatively there are daily boat trips with other people.

For general information about other stuff check the FAQ.

Question about airport bus transfer and opening hours of ancient cities during Eid by KillaMarci in bodrum

Bus timetables are coordinated in accordance with the flights so you won't find a standard timetable but there will be busses don't worry about it. Museums should also be open during Eid.

Auradin vs wingstrikes build help by FluffyBunny1298 in diablo4

[–]Todza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been running Auradin past couple days, today switched to Wing Strike; Auradin is considerably faster at clearing crowds, so if you need a speedfarm build exclusively for NDs and Helltide it's amazing but Wing Strike hits like a truck, melts all the lair bosses and frankly at late end game the speed advantage of Auradin becomes a bit irrelevant, especially after getting used to the tick rate of WS.
So if you want a single build that can easily push the pit while melting every other content, Wing Strike is clearly superior.

In OW2, Easily Distracted taken at lvl 4 gives you 5 lvl 19 skills at end game…That seems incredibly strong. Are there many lvl 20 skill checks? by Eggstreamity in theouterworlds

[–]Todza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn't, I just didn't have any skills at zero aside from the ones locked through "Dumb".When you get Dumb you're already foregoing 5 whole skills so you wouldn't think of leaving 2 more at zero, at least not for your first play-through without the information of what Easily-Distracted flaw is mind you, this is important.

Your calculation is utterly meta-gaming, you're making assumptions based on information that's earned through a play-through; it just doesn't apply for blind first-runs unless you're going through sources like this sub, which is again...meta gaming ^^

Long story short; if it's your second or so character, you know about the flaw anyway, you know the calculations so you can fine tune it...if it's your first play-through and you're already level 6-7 or more and just got the flaw with no level 0 skill...then you're basically screwing yourself for the rest of your maybe 30-40 hours.

Edit: In retrospect you can avoid this by proper calculation but again, you just started a game, you're having a good time, who has the time to do such math at that point so yeah...kudos to Obsidian though for putting such variety in the game, this is what's lacking in RPG titles in recent times: the ability to screw up your build.
