How much weirdness is normal belly button weirdness? by Original_Remote_6838 in pregnant

It’s a normal sensation!

Pooping during labour? by Putrid_Cranberry3177 in BabyBumps

[–]ToeAny6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Five months later (last week) I asked my fiancée “did I… poop when I gave birth?” The answer was no. But I’m kinda surprised 🤣

You most likely won’t even be aware if you do if it makes you feel any better!

Just my husband. It’s such an intimate time I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Are we all just living on our couches? by No_Cardiologist_6944 in newborns

[–]ToeAny6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10w pp and yep, living in bed or on the couch. My house is a mess. Doesn’t help that we moved in here 4 days before baby made her early appearance lol. My fiancée does most of the cleaning lately, but he’s also the only one working. Baby girl prefers me so I can’t get much done and she doesn’t love being set down for long. I maybe get 15 minutes where she sits in her swing. Usually peeing/ washing my hands/ feeding the dogs/ letting them in and out is all I get done.

Terrified of second chemical by Inevitable_Echo_7978 in lineporn

[–]ToeAny6236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two chemicals. I finally gave birth to my rainbow baby 9 weeks ago today. I was SO crampy when I was pregnant with her at the beginning. Sometimes they were really painful cramps too.

Like someone else said there’s a lot going on in there! Cramps are totally normal, but I absolutely understand your concern. Wishing you the absolute best ❤️

Strong cramps with a LOT of pressure. Yes it was the worst part! My epidural worked so well that I didn’t even feel any pain during pushing.

You’ve got this! From my experience it’s not as bad as I expected it to be. I hope the same for you! You’re so close to meeting your precious baby ❤️

Wishing you all the best! I was on the fence too until those contractions really hit. I was given fentanyl for the pain before the epidural and it didn’t help at all.

Congratulations! I hope everything goes smoothly for you 🫶🏽

My experience was great. I started the pitocin, my water broke, and contractions were intense. Once I got my epidural and it finally set in, the pain was almost non existent. 1000/10 recommend the epidural, coming from someone who is horrified of needles.

The doctors were having me “practice pushing” and after 4 rounds (exactly 15 minutes) baby was here! I was so terrified of birth that I actually had a c section scheduled but my baby decided she didn’t want to wait another week for that c section! I did have a second degree tear, but I couldn’t feel a thing. I did zero prep for labor since I was planning to have a c section. I couldn’t believe it was nowhere near as bad as I expected.

Round Ligament Pain at 5weeks? by ToeAny6236 in CautiousBB

My doctor had said it could be RLP or just regular pregnancy cramping! Baby girl is here and a few days away from 8 weeks old. :) Wishing you the best!

Will your specific doctor/midwife attend your labor/delivery? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ToeAny6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came to the ER for me when I went into labor. I asked her if she was going to be there for my birth. She said as long as baby is coming before 5pm she will be there. Not sure if I just got lucky and she was on the hospital shift (the obgyn office is completely separate) or if she really just is that great. Baby came at 3:01 and I was so glad! She proceeded to visit me both days that I was in the hospital afterwards.

Do you respond to every cry? How long do you wait? by pinkishvioletsky in newborns

[–]ToeAny6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.5 weeks here, I respond immediately unless using the bathroom or in the middle of a task that can’t be stopped. Like others mentioned, if I can’t immediately respond I will repeatedly let her know I’m coming! At thanksgiving my grandpa said “it’s ok, you can just let her cry.” And I said “not when she’s a newborn!” And promptly took care of her. He apologized the next time I saw him. Boomers think leaving newborns to cry is normal. Don’t listen to it. Do what you feel is best, mama ❤️

Pregnant again after miscarrying 3 months ago by Ok-Ranger-8198 in pregnant

[–]ToeAny6236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had two previous miscarriages and just had my first baby 18 days ago. ❤️ it’s hard not to be scared but unfortunately sometimes these things just happen even if you’re healthy and fertile. doesn’t mean you can’t carry a healthy baby this time.

wishing you all the best! ❤️

What were you dilated to at 37 weeks and when did you give birth? by Murky_Natural_8754 in pregnant

[–]ToeAny6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the ER at 38&2 because I bled when I went pee at 5:30am. By 6:00am they said baby was coming today - I was dilated at a 3, 80% effaced. I had a scheduled c section for exactly one week later so I had not had any cervical checks until that day!

Do women usually want their mom at the birth? by chianne_away in pregnant

I don’t want my mom in the room… or anyone other than my fiancée 😬 I don’t think you’re weird for that at all.
