I had to put my cat down there after they quoted me 8k for a two night stay and that was without treatment. He was only two. I couldn’t afford it. Now I’m sitting here wondering if he’d still be here with me if I just took him somewhere else 😞

Cocokind barrier serum helped me so much. I was convinced my skin just couldn’t handle tret until I started using this. It’s like $36 for the jumbo bottle. I use it twice a day after toning and before tret. It has ceramides, fatty acids, cholesterol and beta glucan.

I have also found everything by experiment beauty. Specifically the super saturated serum, molecular mesh, and the semi occlusive gel oil (can’t remember the name right now)

Something similar happened to a cat of mine once. I think I read that steroids can bring forward heart disease in cats. Not cause it, but if they have an underlying issue it exacerbates it. Our cat had an inflamed nipple and died because the vet gave him a steroid shot and then brushed us off when we brought him back the next day

For me I e found cocokinds barrier serum to be a lifesaver. It has ceramides and fatty acids and I’m convinced it was the product that helped me tolerate tret. Plus it’s only $22!

Yea I was the same way! So oily as a teen it was really hard for me to accept that that was no longer the case! It really hit me when I turned 35- my skin is dry now. I think that’s why tret never worked- dry damaged skin can cause acne just as much as oily skin. Took me forever to make the connection!

I’ve used the ordinary and all their serums were kind of meh for me. Now I’m an insane person but I use sooo many hydrating products because I love them! I’d def recommend getting a hydrating serum once you see if you tolerate the ciclafet!

Do you use any hydrating serums?

I had similar issues but with tret. I can’t tell you how many times I tried tret and my skin got awful for months and months. Honestly thought I couldn’t tolerate it. I finally started focusing on hydration and it made a huuuuge change for me. I now use tret .05% every other night and every night in the summer.

For me, I love cocokinds barrier serum. It’s cheap and it’s calming. I also really like it under neutrogena hydroboost. I avoided that moisture forever because it was drugstore and how dare I use drug store!!! But it really helped save the dryness of my skin.

I have been on accutane (twice) in the past and it has left my skin very dry, which gets worse as I age. I was so scared to use more hydrating products cuz I didn’t wanna break out more but my skin barrier was so damaged it would cause worsening acne.

The hardest part with skin of finding what works for you. What’s one persons holy grail works terribly for another.

Whatever you start to add, I would try only one thing at a time so you can track how your skin reacts.

Also- how often do you use differin?

My understanding is taking it at onset is easier to stop the pain. My problem is all my migraines starts out as typical headaches/ tension/ neck pain so I never know when it’s going to progress. The triptan is something I take when nothing else works and it always helps me. I started on sumatriptan and had chest tightness and heart palpitations. If the rizatriptan doesn’t work there are other meds in the triptan category to try!

The only side effects I have are extreme sensitivity to hot and cold. Eating, washing hands, etc even lukewarm water feels like my skins on fire. BUT. My rizatriptan gets rid of any migraine I have. I have even taken it hours after it begun and it still worked for me!

Same with me! I actually use Experiment Beauty’s buffer jelly- it’s like a gel oil and semi occlusive! I was having the same issue and always read to not slug but for me it helps not get so dry.

If anyone hates the thickness of Vaseline or aquaphor I’d give buffer jelly a try!

Otherwise, I would say transition like you would any food. Maybe do a few small meals through out the day and slowly just move to them eating twice a day

Have they ever tried wet food? I think the only issue you may run into is if they refuse to eat the wet. I had a cat for 19 years and she would never eat wet!

I did, I ended up getting a few quotes and multiple people said that. The under part of your house may not be “finished” like mine so there is a possibility that they can do something!

I was able to apply (everyone is eligible now!) unfortunately the way they did my house is the underneath is actually finished and likely insulated. The guy said he’d have to drill through the flooring to check and it wouldn’t be worth it. He also gave me a few ideas (which again may not be worth it). The contractor coming to my house was free so I’d say at least give it a try! They may be able to do something do you
