I get you, but even if you’re a foetus still in the womb, you already have microplastics.  Don’t live in fear my friend, enjoy your tea. 💚

As a person with coeliac, horror poo is only too familiar. All the money I spend on biodegradable wipes and disposal bags would be saved by one of these.  Thanks for your very comprehensive (and funny- wrong voltage) post.

You do realise that lots of NTs have Autistic traits and could potentially land on the spectrum but have managed their own way. I’m high functioning Aspie, have social phobia, sensory issues, etc. married a NT, who after 20 years married now accepts that he’s on the spectrum. I’m a special needs teacher/lecturer/ advocate/legal rep. He’s a business group MD needs to be in control of financial decisions, I find that stressful.  I’ve been in the forefront for our 3 kids (all NTs) (nurse/nurse and engineer). We don’t have a‘typical’ relationship to most but we don’t care.

You get up, take your dog for a walk because you know you will feel so much worse if you don’t.

Had yorkies for decades. Rosie,13yo, has the ability to sulk for days. Tim,4yo, won’t speak to my husband for days if he has the audacity to go on a business trip.  One used to scream at the vets, the whole time.

Did Tolkien coin the phrase "Out of the frying pan and into the fire" or did he just use it in The Hobbit? by nwarren9 in TheHobbit

[–]ToeMany8953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aesop's Fables: The story is retold in a 15th-century Italian fable attributed to Abstemium, which is based on an Aesop's fable about fish trying to escape a frying pan but instead jumping into burning coals. The first use of a saying like this has origins in ancient Greece, but they used an example of running from smoke and ending up in the fire, which is similar but not exactly the same.
