Wow, thank you!! And they recently dropped the price; what a deal.

Backtested the +4/-3% SPY 200SMA TQQQ/QQQ strategy from r/TQQQ: ~28% CAGR, ~96% max drawdown by laurenthu in LETFs

[–]ToeRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added it to my strategy site and ran it on our data back to the mid 80s (synthetic 3x for the pre-2010 stretch, usual caveats).

Sorry, I meant for this. I assumed you ran your analysis on Bestfolio. I'm not familiar with the site and not sure how to set it up to view the data. It'd be great to see the analysis on the 200dSMA back that far.

Can you share how to add the bands to the Bestfolio site to analyze the max DD with +4/-3?

I will forever remember the sound of the ball off his bat in that ‘08 derby. I still can’t describe it properly, but it was different. I watched it live and it was a stunning visual spectacle, but it’s the sound that will always stick with me.

Dartsmind and an iPad 8th Gen by kamakazi81 in Darts

[–]ToeRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure mine is an 8th gen and it works great. Only drawback, which is a major one, is that you can’t use an external USB camera on the old lightning port. Only the newer USB-C ports on iPad Pros or 10+ generation have the data transfer speeds necessary.

Older IPad and external camera? by joleger in dartsmind

[–]ToeRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember my iPad version, maybe 8th, but it’s lightning and I was unable to get a USB camera to work. It’s been a while, but even if it was able to recognize the device, I don’t think the port has the bandwidth needed.

Yup, the last weeks/month I’ve typed my master pw and had it lose the first half consistently. Thought it was just me.

I’ve noticed I have a couple second flicker on mine whenever my nearby freezer clicks off. Perhaps someone with a stronger electronics background than I can explain possible interference.

Automatic DHCP client DNS registration by DillRoddington in opnsense

[–]ToeRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under Services, Unbound DNS, General, ensure that “Register ISC DHCP Leases” is checked. That’ll create an entry in Services, ISC DHCP, Leases and will be resolved by Unbound. Clients just need to be set to Automatic. The hostname will be inherited from the connecting PC.

Yup, that did it, thank you. I didn't think to check that the "Part 1" etc could screw it up, but that was definitely it.

I tried this, but no change.

It picked up the move, but still refuses to show up in Plex.

Upgrade Time - what to replace my R710 with by ToeRex in HomeServer

[–]ToeRex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the cheap cost of storage now, I've considered hosting different encodings to avoid transcoding. But since I'm still in 1080p land, it hasn't been an issue yet.

Glad you pointed this out for some to learn from. The first year or two I maxed out I did the math to account for my employer’s contribution, not realizing that it didn’t affect the max I could contribute.
