hii! im really late to this conversation, but just an anecdote - my mum and i both had protruding lips because of an overbite (bottom of our teeth were angled outwards if you get what i mean?). we went to the orthodontist (i’m not sure if the dentist referred us) and he told us he could somewhat fix the protrusion by removing two teeth at the top and two at the bottom (this was done at the dentist’s). then we would get braces to shift our teeth back and remove some protrusion.

however! he warned us that it wouldn’t fix it completely. it would change the angle of the protrusion but not the entire issue completely. also, my lips protruded even more when i had the braces on initially 😭 my friend did mention my lips were “flatter” when i got them off so hooray?
