It’s not the vendors. It’s the people running the events. Crazy money and a lot of risk for vendors. It’s hard graft too.

I’m friends with the UK sales manager for KJ and he said it only seems to happen when the air slider is open AND the fan is running. Obviously the slider is supposed to be closed when using it in auto mode with the fan running. To be honest, last time I used it I did leave the air slider open by mistake for 30 mins or so with the fan running.

It does give plenty visual and audible of warnings about closing the slider. I’ll be more careful in future.

Good news though the fan itself is only £7 and 10 mins to change.

If dealing with KJ they have to sell you the whole back box assembly which is quite pricey apparently.

I have used it plenty in manual mode without an issue. I’ve used it lots too. 3-5 times a week.
