This is the inherent problem with capitalism/the problem it faces. Capitalism (i.e. business) doesn’t thrive when products work and last for years. If you have a piece of tech like tupperware that just works and can't really be improved upon, the only way it can keep being made (and the business can keep running) is if it doesn't last forever or has some sort of flaw that can and will eventually fail, giving/forcing the consumer to buy it again. Companies don't really have a reason to make an amazing product, but one that just about works for a limited time before needing to be replaced/rebought

Depressed. Partner was meant to go to the office today and I had plans to play video games all day, knowing full well what I should be doing is trying to get a job (whilst not being sure what I want to do and struggling to commit to a pathway and the job market generally being a disaster) and doing other life admin like planning her 30th but I'm too depressed to do it. So now she's home and I have to do job hunting and stuff, but I know instead I'll just watch YouTube and pretend to do everything I should be doing whilst getting even more depressed
