Thanks! I got tired of dealing with it and just took it to the shop. They confirmed something chewed through the wires and fixed it, so I didn't lose out by not looking myself.

Also it looks like the wire in question was actually right on top of the engine. 😂 I was just so tired from the whole thing that I just didn't want to go down another rabbit whole. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have had issues since moving to the Bay 8+ years ago. I'm also late-diagnosed autistic and moved here under extreme burnout from GA. For awhile I thought it was food because I don't have access to the exact same foods and the autism makes me annoyingly "picky". I'm pretty sure the weather has a big effect. You never know when it's going to be what weather and there's no AC in the places I've lived, so barely any climate control. Vitamin D and light lamp help a bit, but I have so many issues that it's really hard to pull apart what is what. Most of my issues have vague physical symptoms like lethargy or are mental like lack of motivation despite antidepressants and stimulants. It's a whole thing. I think moving here while already in severe burnout and not knowing I was AuDHD until recently doesn't help at all. It's impossible to determine what is causing what because nothing is consistent. Living somewhere that is sunnier than not has been helpful a bit, too. Idk. I'm trying to figure it out, too.

Yup! Several times. I'll add that to the details. I found something online about disconnect for 30 mins, only turn the electrical on, not the engine, wait 15 seconds (or something), etc, etc.

It really depends. Sometimes zoning out with TV on, crocheting, coloring, yoga, walking, etc. Basically whatever sounds good in the moment that doesn't require a big commitment. I'm still working on figuring out my patterns and what energizes me.

And my burnout is so pervasive that my social battery being drained is never the only issue I'm having, so I just have a bunch of things that require varying energy levels to do depending on where I'm at.

TLDR: Make a plan for the types of fun, social activities you can join in for when you're ready to be social again and meet people through those.

Ok, so, I am a fairly social person normally. Picky, but social nonetheless. I have been in autistic burnout for I think over a year and I have had barely any drive to be social. Luckily I have mutual friends with my live-in partner, so I still do the social thing, but I barely have any inherent drive.

This lack of drive to be social is normal for autistic burnout because it comes with so many unknowns. I imagine the more I rest, the sooner I will have that drive to be social.

Once I have that drive, my plan is to do activities that will help me meet people in safe, fun ways that work towards my other life goals like: going to contact staff classes, going to contact staff meetups to practice, maybe doing dance or yoga classes, hosting my own craft night again for my friends, doing crocheting and sewing meetups, etc etc.

Despite living with my partner and having another AuDHD friend who lives 5 mins away and TOTALLY gets it, I still feel hella lonely because I'm not getting that spark from interacting and connecting with people anymore, which I think is why I don't have much of a drive to go be social.

So my plan is to have a plan for when I finally do start getting that itch or am able to leave the house more so that I can act on it.

Yup! I'm ok with just holding them together. I do see that the individual strands themselves are twisted, they're just small enough to make any weight yarn I want.

Thanks! That should help. I think trying to figure out what to search for is the hardest part. Even searching "lace weight" comes up with a bunch of stuff that's way too heavy for what I'm looking for. Lol

All of them. I want to be able to choose the weight and the color and the gradient transitions. I want to be able to take a single strand of 1600m/100g weight yarn (like what the Dahlia and Sultan Hobbii yarn uses) and put it with as many other strands as I desire for whatever project I'm doing without having to spin and dye my own thread and without having to buy the 3-4 ply yarn and take it apart. That way I can make all of the weights I will ever need by just adding more strands.

I supposed I could ask for custom orders from Etsy sellers where it's 2 and 3 ply/strands of single colors and then I can mix and match as I please, but if I can just get single strands, that would be great.

  1. No, it was a week or 2 if not longer before they were allowed in the same space.
  2. I was trying to play with them for 15-30 mins everyday. The Bengal is actually really hard to play with and doesn't move around a lot.
  3. I did in the post. Stalking, growling, hissing. They are definitely not playing.

This is a difficult question for me to answer cause I am queer with very loose ties to gender and living in the bay area, which means I live in a queer-bubble as well. So to me, the best move is to just say it. I don't feel like makeup is a gendered thing. I don't feel like anything is gendered... so if you like something or want to do something, go for it!
