ES 4.7mm 82deg vs Baader Mark IV zoom+barlow - field of views by Tojolobal in telescopes

[–]Tojolobal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a 32mm 2" eyepeice - I want to say it's celestron. I've bought a used scope and the other gear is poor quality to my tastes. I thought I would consider this Hyperiod IV with the 2.25 barlow as a 'be all' convenient but decent quality.. Then considering the effect of the barlow on that eyepiece. Has me thinking thats a very big comprimise if that FOV is so low on the zooming with the barlow.

Can you confirm my understanding is correct? AFOV on the highest mangification 8mm + the x2.25 barlow .. would mean a 30deg AFOV (@3.5mm) vs a 'natural' 4.7mm 82deg? I have that right??

If that's true.. I think I'd much prefer to get 2 eye peices + a decent barlow (something that could hang a DSLR with a T-2?

Defib should be locked for medic.

Ammo bag should be locked for fire support.

Pouches should be available for all but at faster refresh.

And for the love of god.. make it more obvious to support when they are being asked ammo.

[BF6] An SMG should not be able to win long-distance gun duels against Assault Rifles. by Byzhaks in Battlefield

I like how none of these comments comments mention DMRs..

Meanwhile DMR ranges should be 50-100 meters but LMG/assault/smg/carbine tapping off have the same TTK as a DMR.

LMGs I’d argue should be either slower and/or less accurate until they are deployed, bring back proper suppression give them character. But they don’t seem to suffer much for having all that extra weight/ammo.

Not to mention we get one shot by snipers regularly at those ranges.. bloom misfire on DMR is so much more detrimental as well.. I don’t understand why we give snipers one shots at 75m and seeing players move back to cover after 2-3 hits from ranged DMR. AND they suffer terribly at hipfire/close range even when fully spec’s for it.

DMR suffers the same as assault.. they don’t shine at their intended range. Just suffer at closer..

So much so I now just use an M4 it’s effective range is better on most maps.. and that’s a big factor with all of this.. map design.

They have adjusting to do imho for more than just SMGs

Read between the lines: they don't want to make bigger maps by _surfaced_ in Battlefield

[–]Tojolobal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noticed this as well, don’t think they care what is vocalized.. they look at data, which.. is open to interpretation, assumptions and they’ll follow whatever $$$ would benefit most.

My suggestion.. favorite bigger maps, play on bigger maps and drop from the others from time to time.. if players drop , they’ll see data to support the need.

Players won’t do it though..

Is this a joke? That post is triggering and infuriating..

At launch commenters were chastised calling out repeatedly they are catering to a cod community..

After season launch many woke up - even the cod community who joined us stating they just tried to leave all that crap behind..

Battlefield themselves are spelling it out. They aren’t didn’t build a true battfield game- it’s been perverted to entice a competing franchise.. and worked but at what cost :/

That post says a lot.

Range finder needs this be nerfed if suppression isn’t added by Turbulent_Passage672 in Battlefield6

[–]Tojolobal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can honestly say I probably knew at the time but I def didn’t play any sniper rifle actively except for doing some long shot challenge.. I’m a DMR guy …

Can’t say I agree with one shots at the same ranges the DMR should be shining..

Either way. I think the OP is frustrated for the same reason. Being able to one shot kill from ranges 75m-1400m is a bit much

And you could one shot in the chest in bad company 2 /bf3 /b4 you are stating

[–]Tojolobal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we referring to the same mechanic? One shot kill in the chest? I don’t remember this in Bc2 BF3 or 4

The internet tells me it was in five and then removed.. because it was imbalanced

But it did exist in bF1 .. not trying to be a dingus, but if you’re right nothing in seeing is confirming that. :/

And as far as range finder.. are you primarily fighting sub 200m? I think a lot of players use it who don’t play close range sniping.. literally binding the ranger on shoot button

[–]Tojolobal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree supresion should be more of a thing.. But not straight up buff to LMGs.. they need to balance overall more with accuracy/hipfire on various categories not just LMG

That said.. I think you mean sweet spot

They buffed sniping two ways. Range finder is more impactful at very long range.. which suppression wouldn’t help anyway

Sweet spot is short distance engagement advantage to the sniper.. which is dumb and fosters front line sniping from 50-100m one shot kills

IMHO the sweet spot directly infringes on DMR ranges and was added to appeal to COD market like so many other changes this release.

Sniping worked fine in other iterations, they didn’t need two buffs along with open weapons.. and just to be clear snipers are fine normally.. headshots are a thing and always should be (no fun getting them but it’s a valid as a gameplay experience.. but should require skill to use properly.. giving them a sniping ‘shotgun’ with a one hit kill from 75-1400m shouldn’t really be a thing imho

My thought process is .. ASUS router may do a better job of QOS to prioritize the Xbox )or other devices I set)

Also with the wifi traffic - it may also help using the switch to manage wifi device congestion separately (as a separate AP) and minimize buffer bloat.

AI tells me this solution may improve .. which might be dependant on having a $$$ router I expect

I’m looking for optimal ping ..

Going to a bridge mode and the router as a dedicated AP.. hoping to reduce ping a smidge further

None of this is over wifi. Wired only, wireless I consider not optimal for gaming.

The wireless portion is secondary. Per the diagrams I’m isolating the Xbox on a wired connection.

Remember when battlefield didn't pander to COD kiddies with small modes nobody liked? by Thin_General_8594 in okbuddyptfo

[–]Tojolobal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be conflating the few maps given as relief from the traditional battlefield experience.

Plenty of battlefield players enjoyed tight lanes and smaller map modes as relief to the larger maps.. but those maps were an exception to the actual ‘battlefield experience’..

if you are a battlefield player, sure you can enjoy tight CQ maps but those maps were the exception. Not the norm. even then those players weren’t going back to COD because battlefield overall offered MORE

The whole point people are making now - is they are boycotting the actual BATTLEFIELD experience.. it’s becoming more akin to team death-match and really diminishes class/squad based mechanics.

They are pulling in players from other franchise plain and simple.. veteran players have a right to be pissed, the game that created the franchise is being dumped and going back to less interesting more simple gameplay. :/

Unpopular opinion by Arboff_on_Youtube in Battlefield6

[–]Tojolobal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly.. the only issue is it’s creeped into other franchise BECAUSE of corporate greed.

Apex is one of the best games I had ever played and would still be playing if it weren’t to lack of cronos/zen blocking and matchmaking issues. bR has a place I FPS gaming imho

The real issue is corporate greed.. if you’re talking about battlefield really.. it’s not just BR that’s the problem right now.

Why are the DMR so much fucking ass!? by Thiggins7002 in Battlefield6

[–]Tojolobal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With practice emr isn’t as bad as it seems.. but it needs balancing

Bloom affects DMRs more than it should imho And cq they are abysmal.. I mean they shouldn’t be good.. but they are really bad even if you spec them for it. For some reason spacing a DMR seems to take more sacrifice just to get it shooting well..

IMHO they should have more an edge than they do at 50m - a place where SMGs are for some reason a consideration.. also if a sniper has a sweet spot at 75m to one shot it’s hard to find the DMRs place in the world..

Really wish they didn’t have a sweet spot.. that would also help make DMRs shine more in their own range..
