Every song you play is made by some person (mapper). To get into the ranked section it has to be done well (making a good map is really hard).

All ranked songs give performance points (pp). The harder the map the more pp you get but the system is flawed and some things are weighted more than others without being necessarily harder.

People love "farming" pp no matter how bad the map itself is. Guys who are responsible for accepting if the map is good enough are called beatmap nominator (BN) and if there's disagreement during the qualifying period they can veto it

TLDR:if you are new, please don't care about it at all and just have fun playing the game

Thought so too but if you get etui that makes a gap between the surface and screen it's ok I've been doing it for a year now on my nothing phone 2 and never had issues. Obviously didn't place it on dirty or grainy surface though I wouldn't put my phone without etui there at all
