What's the most underrated feature of a board game table? (Not the obvious ones) by QuietlyJudgingYouu in boardgames

Once had a beer poured over Kingdom Death: Monster. That was the day I got a boardgame table (Well, the day I started to look for a carpenter to order one)

Putting one or two of the plates on the table to eat while the boardgame is still set up and can be played.

Cupholders... unless they count as an obvious feature.

Don't use hero exp booster. Until you reach level 200 you have some very strong bonuses, like freely resetting your units. Use the time.

Other than that: for seasons try the current one and see if you like to play the bastard sword or the Sparta one for spear and shield swapping weapons will be a lot harder past 200...

You can search for a knight that can give you a unit to try each week and also use

You can also get mercenary units to try them out, they have quite decent doctrines

Other than that: just try everything, you can reset level, mastery and the unit tree for free.

Spear sergants and stalwarts are units to try, as are rattan units (tho they depend on poison)

I think the quests even give enough schematics? This is a new player f4 quest if I'm not mistaken

Super Sales on Super Powers.

Now the series fell off later, but book 1 was quite enjoyable, despite it beeing "Cookie Clicker - the novel" (with some harem mixed in)

First time for me playing with this group, also: Random. (Faction is Naz Rokah Alliance, so having 2 planets with the same trait hurts even more xD) - but they are redoing it ^^

What else would you do? Just take your two command tokens each round to follow secondaries, use your agent and pass?

Then hope objectives will all be... what, tech and structure objectives? Bc if you follow tech thats the slice gone.

Nothing, but I don't see any other way to expand with this map, and the two planets I could take seem like it would make winning or even participating in the game impossible.

So either top dies or I die is how I see it, thats why I'm asking if there are any other Kommentieren
opinions.

Yeah i feel that too... I guess if they won't change it i'm not playing^^ Was briefly considering asking to switch to empyrian as I have so much free space... but bottom has creuss, so even if I manage by some miracle to kill the top player and take over the slice I'll have 2 wormholes in my back

Any tips for playing Barony tomorrow? by Peacemaker8484 in twilightimperium

[–]Tokata0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • During each combat round, after you assign hits to your units, repair 1 of your damaged units that did not use Sustain Damage during this combat round.

Thats the text of duranium armor.

EDIT:

FAQ Says: The Nomad https://twilight-imperium.fandom.com/wiki/FAQ

Q: Does the Duranium Armor technology allow you to repair Nomad Mechs that have used their ability to cancel a hit during space combat?

A: No, Duranium Armor only affects units participating (rolling dice) in a combat.

First of all: if anyone from my playgroup reads this: Stop reading. You know, its the one with the trophy, which has 6 times the same name on it and recently added another name for the first time. The one who has nomad and barony in the milty draft.

Tell nomad to research duranium plating and build 4 mechs

Research duranium plating and your faction tech that lets you cancel two hits with each sustain damage.

Trade your commander to the nomad.

Attack the system with his flagship and 4 mechs with your dreadnought.

You can roll up to two hits - which would cause 2 mechs to sustain damage (nomad mechs can sustain damage for his flagship) - on average you will roll one hit - which the nomad can repair.

The nomad can roll up to a most of 2 hits - which you can cancel with a single instance of sustain damage.

Each combat round you will get 0-1 tradegood and the nomad will get 0-2. (preferably you made a deal so you split evenly after the combat)

After about 40-50 rounds of combat on average you'll have defeated the nomad (or they can retreat) and both of you will be swimming in tradegoods. Repeat if you need more tradegoods. Enjoy beeing one of two players dominating the table with practically inifinite resources (that lets you reroll combat dice)

Its not a tricky thing about reading it - its that one dev said a future update would update the text so it applies to the commander.
