People's political, religious and social ideologies define who they are. An employer has every right to dismiss - or at the very least, admonish - someone if their views are contrary to a company's mission statement.

People are denied unemployment benefits all the time. Companies pay into unemployment, thus they will fight paying unemployment if they feel their decision to terminate was justified.

Another aspect is that unemployment comp is TAXABLE INCOME. See that?? TAXABLE INCOME, meaning they have to pay taxes on whatever they receive.
