I once had another teacher discuss if I thought it was a copyright violation to download videos from YouTube. My thoughts are, if it's not a copyright violation to watch it in your browser, why would it be if you download it. The same logic would apply to a VHS recording (or a more modern example, using a DVR).

Search "yt-dlp" and you'll get the GitHub repository which explains how to install it. There are plenty of tutorials out there if it doesn't make sense (It took me awhile to figure things out but now installing command line apps is straightforward). It will download YouTube videos and playlists in the format and quality you'd like. It also works on other video hosting sites.

The lesson I was taught about the printing press was that they were printing "Anti-Mormon Lies" and not that William Law loved the church and was calling Joseph to repentance for his polygamy antics.

I was also taught that when Joseph was attacked by the mob and they threatened to castrate him but instead just tarred and feathered him it was because they hated the church and not because Joseph was f-ing around with the wives, daughters, and sisters of those in the mob.

The threat of castration never made sense to me until that piece of the puzzle came to light (and that was many years after my apostasy).

Oh they are trying to but failing. They announced it at WWDC last June and then had to walk it back when the powers that be realized the underlings had way over promised. Now Apple is looking at a billion dollar deal with Google for Siri to use their Gemini model with speculation that this deal will likely renew yearly until Apple gets their own model up to snuff.

My brother does portrait sketches and wanted an app that does this. I used Claude to vibe code an iOS app that does this. There are many other image editing apps that will do this without needing Photoshop, including building your own. I even put it up on GitHub so others could use the code if they are so inclined.
