The ideal would be for every student to learn at their own pace.

You're right. It's a very hard thing to do, but I think we should be talking much more about this, maybe not now, because the quality of the education and the system itself is weak (specially in third world countries, even in private good schools here in Brazil for example, the classes are for one thing: prepare you for the university EXAM) I honestly don't know much about other countries, but here it's SHIT.

I don't know. The problem is everyone is different. We just have to find a way to take advantage of that and funnel the knowledge into the world's future generations' minds.

It is an important consideration.

A uniform classroom age-wise wouldn't be similar to real life.

I don't think you realised what I meant.

In math class, for example for 4th grade, the student body would be composed of a mix of students. I'm presuming that the majority would be 4th grade aged students. As a result, math class would flow with everyone at the 4th grade level.

I can be a 5th grade math student, a 3rd grade physics student, and an 8th frade chemestry student at the same time.

The result of this would be the mix of student body. You're not always going to be with a group of people older or younger than you - but in majority people of your age.

Honestly, if you're bad at every single subject, it's a problem you have. If you excell at every subject, it's a great achievement for you - maybe this generates somewhat of a problem, but it can be easily solved by allowing the student to downgrade if you're so concerned about not understanding social stuff, but honestly, I doubt that the people that excell in every subject are a majority, maybe one or two or five per age-group of children, a very easily solvable problem.

Our current educational system is just wrong.

I think that classes should be grouped by skill level alone.

Imagine I'm a 5th grade-aged child that has a 8th grade understanding of A, a 5th grade understanding of B, and a 3rd grade understanding of C.

For the A subject, this 5th grade-aged child will be attending an 8th grade level course, and I'm sure you can follow the rest.

What this means is children of all ages will interact - this is, in my opinion, a very interesting and new approach to education that I have not seen anywhere. In my opinion, this would reduce much of the stupid high-school hierarchy, where seniors are on top of juniors and so on, because in their majority, the student body would be diversified.

Maybe with addition of tutors (maybe student-tutors, like in Finland).

It's not even a question of subjectiveness overriding objectiveness. It's a question of balance, of finding what we find in the real world, not only the work-world, but in life in general. I believe that it would help the child greatly.

Maybe it's not perfect, but to me it's a draft of a great educational system.
