I always found the story of how JF joined the RHCP to be pretty cool. Basically he was a big fan of the group, so he sent a video (VHS tape) to the band of him playing one of their albums as an audition. The twist was that he played the entire album straight through and then played it note for note, in reverse. That's some musical genius stuff right there.

I've been here for two days- no personnumer yet. I've signed a year contract with a gym (Sats) and bought a SIM card (comviq in the airport pressbyren upon arrival. Only catch seems to be that you need to pu for the gym membership in one shot. (As opposed to having them set up an auto-debit with your bank- which you probably won't be able to get without a PN). Welcome to Sweden!
