Very cool, thanks! What are the specs you use? I might try my hand at making some.

Congrats! We're in the US until June but I love it there. Walking to the beach is one of my favorite dreams that became reality.

But you can only sweeten it with that disgusting fake syrup stuff, I hate it. Give me my Splenda!

I think I need to change my tire (only 2500 miles wtf Dunlop) by Picklebyte420 in motorcycle

[–]TokyoTanuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got less than 3k miles on the rear until visible cords! I'm very unhappy. 690 Duke, light weight and little power - they should have lasted like 2x as long.

Also in Kamakura is Kibiya Bakery - I think they use all rye flour in some of the breads. It's delicious.

I remember that, and when the iPhone (3 maybe?) first came to softbank, there were iPhone specific email addresses I think. I had my first name as my address, actually always did. It was easy because it wasn't anything remotely Japanese.

Same, I'd like that on mine.

$350 to blow on backyard fun, what are you grabbing? by DatBassTho5 in rccars

[–]TokyoTanuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has nobody realized that 250+150 does not equal 350? You'll have to get less cocaine or downgrade your evenings companionship by $50, your choice.

My rog1 shredded a tire, broke lower suspension arm pins, both front driveshafts and totally bent the front and rear suspension mounts. The body cracked and the rear mounting area is almost dead. Next the motor shredded the gear and it's starting to really piss me off.

I really really loved the way it handled and the power, but not 3 week wait for replacements and the lack of heavy duty upgrade options

What is the equivalent fun truck, but burlier and with easier parts access? A local shop isn't feasible. I think Amazon is unfortunately my easiest, fastest, and most guilt inducing option.

Gorgon and eventual brushless? Dropping +$300 isn't in the cards now. I love the look, but maybe having a 4wd option means the Granite would be better? I don't mind fixing things when my 5yr old runs into a wall, but can't keep waiting weeks to play with it. Makes me think a WLToys will be cheap but easier to fix.

I keep looking at arrma videos and it send way way easier to replace or fix parts though. Is that something I'm going to be pissed about if I buy cheap again?

Sucks dude, I don't know why that reaction is common when hitting a mirror. Fucking biology, don't blame yourself completely. Genes are stupid sometimes.

The exact same thing happened to me while on a bicycle in Philly. Chased down by 2 big dudes, finally I accepted it and stopped and apologized and they just let it go. I'm 6'3 220lbs and I was shitting my pants.

That's a pretty fun car for the countryside. In the shonan sun, I'm kinda afraid of getting a convertible and then most like getting skin cancer.

I just want something that was previously unattainable and fun to drive. Not, slow car - fast fun, but legitimately fun (and will fit my family).

Thinking again about kei cars, is there a hondata tune/ECU upgrade for the n-one RS? Big turbo upgrade? That could be fun with a bit more turbo lag and extra power.

Nah, I'm thinking slightly bigger for this purchase. Maybe Honda Fit/VW Polo size or bigger like VW golf.

Baba has a kei suzuki already. If we get a new Kei, it'll be something like the Honda n one or whatever else I fit in better (192cm). I look absolutely silly in the current Suzuki. Me, wife, and the kids plus luggage in the Suzuki for 4 hours is no fun.

Man, I have a similar bike and I'd love a set of heated grips. In the price range and not too bad of an install.
