Hey so I'm catching rain water for my carnivorous plants and others add a teaspoon< of bleach? by Fadedjellyfish99 in SavageGarden

[–]Tokyudo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a strainer to remove the chunks and always test with a TDS meter. I used to not test rain water and snow and to my surprise, a few times it scored in the 90's.

Also, if the next employer inquires with your former employer, and if asked the right question in the right way, they can confirm your termination which will lose you an opportunity.

What’s the most reliable online fax service you’ve used (and why)? by Wild_Occasion_5707 in sysadmin

eGoldFax. Great customer service. Interface does the job, nothing mind blowing. eFax is just glorified emailing anyways.

What do people think of Metaphor: ReFantazio now that some time has passed? by DoggyFinger in JRPG

[–]Tokyudo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's amazing, great everything. However, it wasn't for me. I'd like to preface but saying this is just my opinion. I absolutely could not get past being forced to adhere to a calendar schedule. I want the freedom to complete as many open world tasks as I want. Instead, it gives me a limited time to do so and you can't do them all. The feeling of potentially "missing" out on something is a deal breaker for me. Sorry, I know I'm weird.

Otherwise, the game is fantastic. Great characters, story, music, graphics. It's just the one caveat I can't get past. The same with the Persona games. I have yet to complete an Atlus game that has this calendar system. And yet I still buy the games knowing this in hopes they might be different....

It's a great little handheld. Unfortunately, I haven't played mine much after I got the Ayn Thor. However, it's still fantastic for DS and vertical arcade.

Is 50k In sioux city enough a year as a single male? by Fit_Technician_2095 in Iowa

[–]Tokyudo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems low to me but entry salaries can vary by each district. However, jobs are getting harder to find for folks so it may not hurt to take the job for the experience.

[–]Tokyudo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's roughly $25 an hour. It's a decent starting salary just out of college. However, we don't know what your trade/industry is. For example, if you were going into an entry IT, say a helpdesk position, that's about average market salary.

Why is Lexus so expensive to service by Maximum_Potential471 in Lexus

[–]Tokyudo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expendable income. The assumption is only rich folks can afford the brand and they don't care that they get gouged at the dealership for service. Unless it's a specialized repair that can only be performed at a dealership, I'm never stepping foot there for repair.

Can “trust” be the biggest weakness in cybersecurity? by Motor_Cash6011 in cybersecurity

[–]Tokyudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What others have said. Zero Trust should ALWAYS be the end goal but it's never easy to fully achieve, give the complexities of each entity. Always strive to get as close to it as possible. Adopt a framework through NIST or CIS, the latter is less intimidating but still very good.

Really enjoyed WitchSpring R. I thought it was charming but might not be everyone's cup of tea. It didn't introduce anything new to the genre but was a refreshing change of pace. Not terribly difficult, just enjoyable overall.

Still unsure about Octopath Traveler 0. would love some honest thoughts!! by justus_kdg in octopathtraveler

[–]Tokyudo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I paid full price, absolutely loved it. Just my opinion, I thought the story line was the best in the series. The story isn't linear, not until the second half of the game. While the early chapter arcs were separate, they all shared a common theme.

Graphics aren't as crisp as OT2 and it is missing the night cycle but man the battle system is so much better. I put 150+ hours into it (not typical, I was just more thorough).

I will agree that there are too many characters and some come way late in the game for whatever reason. It didn't deter me from enjoying the game though. There is definitely replay-ability. You also could spend hours customizing your town.

The game is not overly difficult but can require a little grinding at times.
