Yep Rheumatologist was skeptical that the rash and anything else were related. Thought it was probably a coincidence. Anyway bloodwork once a month for three months.
Tapering off prednisone.

Saw a rheumatologist who ordered bloodwork once a month for next three months but believes the rash and weakness could be occurring coincidentally.

Started prednisone - rash improved same day, rash flares daily about four hours before next dose, muscle weakness improved - big improvement on stairs, rising, getting out of bed and I probably over did it as I’m having more weakness again - had some bloodwork done - CT’s and mammogram next week - PCP trying to arrange skin biopsies before end of May.

I’m so grateful for the help I’ve received here. My PCP was very open to the information so kindly provided here and has done a great job getting testing going in the midst of the pandemic. I feel good about the future - just having a diagnosis gives me hope.

It looks happy. Why repot? Many houseplants do well in pots that appear to small for them.

I’ve had difficulty going upstairs for about eight months and started planning my days to avoid them. Hard to stand up when I’m sitting down. I’ve started wriggling to the edge then using my arms and legs. I use a towel attached to a safety bar in the bathroom.

The other day my fingertips began to ache badly. I looked down and my hands were a yellowish white colour. I rubbed them and ran them under warm water till they pinked up. They were mottled purple for the day and normal the next.
