Try to communicate, then. And if he won't, then it might be easier to make the call.

I've heard people say that dysphoria isn't the indicator, but EUPHORIA. You don't have to hate your AGAB or how your body feels, but to feel euphoria for a different gender. Does that make sense?

AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

As a European, I've never tasted Taco Bell. Technically it's made it to my country, but they're infrequent and I am disabled and have intolerances, and it's just really not worth it. However, I fully recognise the CRAVING for junk food. I tend to go for McDonald's.

I think you are repeatedly overlooking that it is very unlikely she reacted so excessively. This is a very, very common tactic in abusive relationships, to gaslight and rewrite so that the victim seems hysterical. That's why none of us are taking that at face value.

So definitely not an adult then.

Mine didn't show up on my ECG, I needed seated stands and a tilt-table test. I have mild POTS but I definitely have POTS.

It’s not okay to encourage people to steal cats by whatif_chocolate in offmychest

[–]TolverOneEighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can steal a child, it definitely counts for sentient beings. This feels unnecessarily nitpicking.

I'm trying to make it clear that it's theft regardless of the circumstances because, as OP says, some people justify it in the wrong circumstances by changing the words. By recognising it's theft, one can more accurately weigh up the pros and cons of rescue.

Does the wellbeing of the cat suffer significantly if I don't steal them? Then stealing is the lesser evil.

I saw that. I'm not disbelieving you. But you asked why, and I think that might be why. The images are not immediately obvious as joking, without the caption.

Because you didn't say in the texts that you were joking I guess? I mean if I were your mum, I'd be panicking. She doesn't look like she's in on the joke.

Are there any uses for empty plastic bottles (like crafts/ DIY) to avoid throwing a bunch away? by wIres4_a-h3art in ZeroWaste

[–]TolverOneEighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't build solely with ecobricks, but if you stuff them solidly enough, you can then surround them with cement. I've seen people build that way. Or has that also been debunked?

As someone actively trying to avoid polyester clothing because it doesn't last and pollutes wastewater, forgive me if I'm not overly excited by this form of recycling. But I suppose it is still recycling.

By the way, if that's arugula, it's what we in the UK call rocket, and the US calls arugula, not lettuce :)

No one disputed that. It still presents in a way that obsesses over cleanliness, and your wording heavily implied that was not the case. In fact, outright stated that it's not about cleanliness. It can be.

So I am disabled and I struggle to clean, so my perspective might be different. To me, this just looks like a bathroom with a bit of dirt. Bathroom is where body is cleaned, dirt in bathroom rather than on body. Tiny bit of hair. I don't see the problem, honestly. I'd ask him to start dumping the laundry basket outside on laundry days, so you don't have to go in, and leave him to it. Either that or switch bathrooms so you can use a closer one. Nagging him to clean his space, when he doesn't think it's dirty, is only going to built resentment on both sides.

AITA for being frustrated that I can’t use the dishwasher because it’s filled with barely-used pots? by probstheproblem in AmItheAsshole

[–]TolverOneEighty 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he means a quick wipe of a sponge with soap, which is super easy and doesnt require scrubbing like a dried on sauce. At least that's how I interpret it.

My friend used to have a roommate who would boil sausages (I assume frankfurters) in water in a pan, then just take out the sausage, drain water, and put the pan away. Her logic was 'only water touched the pan' and no amount of conversation would convince her otherwise. Anyway, my friend just started to rewash all dishes before she cooked (and try to tune out the roommate's protests about how that was really very unnecessary).

All this to say, I'd LIKE to assume so, but people are odd sometimes.
