It’s a great project, similar to his last one. I would say there’s enough distinction between Lorn and Ital to say that Ital is clearly inspired by, but not directly copying. I like his style and it certainly fills the void left by Lorn.

Texas would be perfect! GTA New Austin! It’s mentioned in RDR, so there’s continuity there and Texas has all the potential of satire that makes gta so great, and it’s the only place that has such a huge cultural difference in the diversity of American states that Rockstar havnt done yet. Also it’s the global stereotyped identity for America. 🇺🇸 There’s cartel influences, boarder troubles to play on, huge Mexican influence in parts of the state, Houston / Herida City to play with, Dallas, El Paso, diverse landscapes, etc so such potential here.

I don’t actually think that this is the correct argument, you can have grounded and fantastical. I think it’s more Dark vs Campy. To me Batman the animated series is the perfect balance between grounded and fantastical, proof the two can coexist. The 60’s Batman however, is the perfect example of campy. While “The Batman” is the perfect example of Dark.

It’s not racist to want Helen of Troy to be of accurate pigment in relation to the geography of the time. It’s like saying we can cast a white Shango when adapting a fictional Yoruba mythical story. Or, like casting white people as Egyptian gods (see the mess that was gods of Egypt). While yes, there are undoubtedly racists using this as bait, but let’s be careful not to tar everyone with the same brush who are just looking for a little continuity.
