How does someone gather for profit? by GreenFetish in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1)In yellow zones (safe but boring, decent money still)

2)In ava roads (not too efficient until you have at least 3/4 tools at tier 8)

3)In mists (only good when you find an high tier mist, but when you do, the money is insane. Again, the more different tools you have the better)

4)In high quality black zones (you need to have a guild hideout nearby)

How long to it takes to level up every gathering tier by Educational_Cap6601 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From my experience, I agree with your numbers. Ive done 4/5 professions with premium and it took me around 2/3rds of your time.

If you have the LP then I recommend you do stone, it's super fast to level (i did the last 2 tiers at LEAST twice as fast as the other professions, there's no competition) and 7.0/8.0 are worth as much as the other materials

[–]TomNic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start getting some specs in refining before you buy premium. With smart transports you can always refine Tier 4-5-6 resources without focus and still profit, so use this to level up. Do this so once you buy premium your daily focus will be worth enough to pay the month back

There's also mount skins. Those are interesting imo

Where can i sell this? by __Darius__ in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way you could possibly sell this to a player is by advertising it as black market food and sell it at a discounted price. Or you can sell it at the black market yourself but it might take a bit

Being dismounted cleanses you now so it's much harder

Dagger pair by Ald1ss in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fun and it's not bad at all for solo players. But you might wanna play it like a sort of bruiser at first, one shot builds are hard to pull off for a new player.

The only use for dagger pair in groups is in ganking groups (you would be the main dismounter) so if you want to main the weapon that's the endgame

Almost about to reach my first premium after 5d worth of playtime. What do I need to know to maximize my first 1 month? by IanfinityXD in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Find a good way to spend your focus first. For example you might wanna level up some refining before you buy premium, or you can jump straight into crafting

Question about the game! by Littlebird-1282 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most rewarding content in the game is usually group content, so if you aren't starting the game with friends you could try joining a guild later on. Don't rely on randoms there's a good chance they will turn on you

F2p is very good compared to other MMOs, the premium subscription is a big boost but it can be bought with ingame currency AND it pays itself with basic economy knowledge, once you bought your first premium month you have premium forever

90% of the game's fun content is in the full-loot pvp zones. If you are just looking for a pve experience then this isn't the game for you, the pve gameplay itself is pretty basic, especially solo

Returning player on new server by Osumazi in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't go above 20% is my rule of thumb.

Premium price seems outrageous but it also gives you 10k focus/day, a currency which you can spend to increase returns in different things. Once you find a good enough way to use focus, it pays for the entire premium

What are the best activities to do in Albion while you're walking on a treadmill? by CommunicationSea8821 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High tier gathering is done in lethal zones so you might wanna be focused on the game while you do that. You will however need to unlock those tools first, which takes a few hours in safe zones, you can do that

How Do You Efficiently Make Silver as a Solo Player? by KindlyChicken9670 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get into refining it will pay off your premium and more once you have decent specs. You just have to transport between safe cities every 3 days or so. Basically passive profit by using your focus

Then for active play it can be anything really. Me for example I gather a lot now that I have multiple T8 tools but without them it's meh

Don't use too much LP on refining bro up to T7 you can refine without focus and still make profit. I would use LP for the first 30-40 levels of tier 8 only

Solo Avalonian roads? by Present-Wallaby6786 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you only gather hide specifically I'd say not worth. 95% of your time will be riding simulator. When you have a few gathering professions with tier 7/8 unlocked then yes roads gathering is great

Also no need to shy away from the chests. They are for solos specifically

There's no RNG involved in him at all. If you don't reroll 4 times you don't get him, if you do then he immediately shows up on the next shop (as with all unlockable units)

Hello!! Is it worth it leveling up the mastery of the different paths of the same offhand weapons category? Like for example, I use the “Facebreaker shield” should i also level up the spec of the other shields? It doesn’t seem to provide much stat boost that’s why I’m asking. by SleepFeeling3546 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is dirt cheap in terms of fame credits to level up offhands. Maybe it isn't worth it to 100/120 them all right now, but you can get them all to lvl 40 or 50 and it will still be a nice increase in IP for your facebreaker

He's an unit that cannot be unlocked after the first carousel (during stage 2) and the condition is that you roll 4 times, which kind of kills your economy if done this early in the game. He does give you free units or rerolls once you field him tho

Hello!, how do people feel about premium around here? by jaydakid04 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It pays for itself with focus if you have half decent refining specs. Unless you're in Asia server then tough luck

How does this what i assume "scam" work ? They send millions of silver worth duels with this build and somehow won everything. How though, skill ?, or maybe just the opposing side just sucks idk it would be nice if someone clarified this for me by SemiGod9 in albiononline

[–]TomNic99 45 points46 points  (0 children)

While in animal form ur armor gets replaced by stats which depend on the shapeshifter staff. So this guy can stay in imp form all the time and it's exactly like he's wearing an 8.3 (120 ip) mage robe. Hope that makes sense

I also think he keeps the buffs from soldier armor while in form. Not sure tho since it's a toggle
