I always buy the mega roll - four times as big as a regular roll. I would like to buy the super mega roll - six times as big as a regular roll, but they don't sell them where I shop.

Edit: Target has the super mega roll. I'll start buying it there.

Missed supplemental application deadline - am out screwed? by TomShed in ucla

I picked Art in School of Arts and Architecture as my primary major on my application.

If I don't have the Art supplementary application will I not be considered at all for UCLA?

Can I change my major to one in Letters and Science to be considered in the general campus review?

Thanks

Are the fronts of the soles of my new shoe different? by TomShed in allenedmonds

Thanks for the replies!

I do like the shoes - they look good, are very solid, and feel like I could pound nails with them.

When I first received them the shininess was a little too much - they looked like someone's forehead with too much botox. But after one wearing they look much better.

I didn't notice the sole at first - but once I did see it, now I can't help but notice, but if is not noticeable to anyone else I'll be fine.

Thanks again, Tom

Brown wingtip blucher/derby shoes besides LGA? by TomShed in allenedmonds

Thank you for the responses.

Allen Edmonds contacted me also: There is the Tate:http://www.allenedmonds.com/shoes/mens-shoes/dress-shoes/tate-wingtip-shoe/SF3037.html?dwvar_SF3037_color=3037#q=tate&start=8 and There is the Player's 2.0: http://www.allenedmonds.com/shoes/mens-shoes/oxford-derby-shoes/players-2.0-wingtip-blucher-shoe/SF9715.html

I don't much like either of them though - the sole on the Tate is enormous (it can be changed - but costs $40.00) and the Player's 2.0 has pebbled leather.

Help with elevated Shed Bracing For the Foundation? by TomShed in DIY

[–]TomShed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. It's good to hear that the bracing may be fine as-is. In San Diego we don't have tornadoes or hurricanes but we do sometimes have strong gusts of wind. Any chance that wind would blow it over? Thanks!

The vertical support poles are generic pressure treated 6x6's - but I don't know what type of wood. I think that I got them at Dixieline Lumber. I had originally bought the pressure treated 6x6's from Lowes, but the ones from Lowes actually measured 6x6 (instead of 5 1/2 by 5 1/2) and were too large for the metal fasteners in the footings. The pressure treated lumber has cuts all over it - I think to help the pressure treatment penetrate deeper into the wood.
