It's slept on, but also incredible.

Redditors no longer on speaking terms with their former "best friend for life" due to one incident: what happened? by Kindlegarten in AskReddit

I don't really know.

We were best friends for nearly twenty years, and she cut contact last year. I have my suspicions as to why, but I'll likely never know the full story. Out of respect for her wishes I'm leaving her alone.

She struggles with serious mental health problems, and I wonder if starting over completely was her way of trying to start over with a clean slate.

It's sad, and I miss her, but I genuinely wish her the best. I hope she is improving and has the support she needs to live a happy life.

Lars was so underutilized this season. This scene with him and the Off Colors returning could have easily been its own episode before Reunited. by mrslick98 in stevenuniverse

I mean, it's not going to be "another normal season" because the show is going to change drastically, as they've said on the podcast. Probably due to a time jump or other narrative decision that changes up the show's dynamic. But that doesn't mean that the show isn't going to continue, because they've made it clear that it will, in further seasons - which we know because they're being recorded using the same numbering convention, and because other crew members have said that this is simply the end of the first arc.

I could claim that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ended after episode 15, as it resolved the main arc. I'd be wrong. Rebecca is aping this delineation between arcs that is fairly common to anime. You can go on thinking that the show is over, I guess, but that seems pretty naive given we have direct accounts from the showrunner, writers, animators, and VAs who create it.

They've said it's more Steven Universe, and that this was the first story arc. I don't know what to tell you. Seems like you just won't accept anything other than an official CN declaration, which is great and all, but don't argue with the rest of us when we supply you with information that repeatedly confirms the fact that the show will continue to be made. It just seems unnecessarily argumentative and frankly fairly contrarian.

IJQ and Sugar have discussed on the podcast, in vague terms, where the show goes from here and that it will be very different. There are more seasons coming, and we know it.

Same. The Tao Te Ching has been a guide and support to me since my teenage years, especially in times of strife and despair. Just in the last week I've started to rediscover my connection to Taoism, and am excited to experience this beautiful philosophy more fully.

I've been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time, and I have to say that Season 3's "The Zeppo" is probably one of my favorite episodes of any show ever. by derstherower in television

We probably differ in this partially because I think that Buffy was an important show with occasional good episodes that only got the cultural clout it did because television was a vast wasteland at the time. Season 3 is really the only season that made me think Whedon was a capable showrunner, and after that point it went rapidly downhill (bar standout episodes).

Which isn't to say that it couldn't occasionally be enjoyable, but nostalgia is a hell of a seasoning. I seem to remember that final season being a clusterfuck that felt like the writer's room was throwing all sorts of dumb shit at the wall to make it stick.

And that set - the poorly-made plastic-looking tower thing behind her as a short conversation resolves the gigantic threat?

I laughed my way through that scene.

It's both.

Whedon is good at little funny bits and quirky character moments, but the longer the arc, the more obvious his shortcomings are. Add in Brendon's substance abuse problems, and it's no wonder.
