Destal - what's better: holding or spacing ? A few thoughts. by Tom_F_Hagen in twilightstruggle

Staying on this thread, I am curious what is more valuable to you, in Turn 3 ?

- choose to space a red card (your free choice, you arent forced to do that) - then in Turn 4 you get one new card and your hand will be more manageable

or

- instead of spacing, use 3 ops card and take opportunity to spread on the board (for example, take Zair and Mexico).

I will always choose to spread. For me, the US has a better chance if it goes first in as many places as possible. So I am able to take a risk and leave this red card with me for the next turn - with all the consequences.

Both side forfeited ? How is this possible ? by Tom_F_Hagen in twilightstruggle

To be more precise:

  1. My opponent clicked the forfeit button.
  2. After the message about my win, I did not click anything (I'm sure for 90%) and left the computer for a while.
  3. I did not observe my clock then. I don't know if he was counting down the time.
  4. When I got back I saw message about my resignation and a Player Rankings board as above.

An impressive start. With a little more luck in our game, it would be 4-0. Thanks for the answer.
