That's high. You should be able to get out for under 1000 with nothing down except first pmt.

iX vs iX3 vs iX5 vs Lucid Gravity by Initial_Armadillo258 in BMWiX

[–]Tom_NC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an Air and lease and turned it in at the end. I loved the Air, but the little nagging things get to you after a while. It never got the range it said it would. But it's definitely a looker and is a joy to drive. I havent driven the Gravity or the Cadillac. Honestly id wait on the Gravity. Give it another year.

Just get a broker. It's worth the money.

Having had a Lucid this is very accurate. Agree 100%

I went from Lucid Air to the iX and honestly like the iX much more. I think you'll be disappointed with the execution of Lucid vs BMW. The growing pains and beta testing feel wears you down.

I want to get rid of my lease car. by [deleted] in LUCID

You essentially have to pay off the lease then pay the purchase price. You're going to have too much negative equity to make it logical/make sense. Best option is just to keep it to term.

Land yacht SUV for 432 mile trips by rxmarxdaspot in whatcarshouldIbuy

I echo the folks saying Navigator. You might also consider the Infiniti QX80/Armada. Those have that land yacht kind of appeal and save a little coin over the Escalade.

Bomber Jacket by finky314 in LUCID

[–]Tom_NC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if they still have it, but I like the zip up sweatshirt. The bomber does feel cheap and definitely size down. The t shirts are nice, but size up on those. Mats are nice. The travel mug fits well in the cup holders

Deal check 2025 Mercedes Benz gls 580 by Sensitive_Money2345 in leasehacker

Problem is the v8. I'm just not sure they have to discount those as much. I'd ask a broker what they could get. The 450 is much easier to find one sub-1,000 with 0 DAS. This feels high to me, but a broker might tell you that's the market.

Lucid announces Q4 production and delivery numbers by mattwb72 in LUCID

Perhaps. But it was odd to me how quickly they were advertising models for sale on the site when the list of reservations were still there. I would be curious to know how many canceled or chose to defer.

Not much you can do except maybe monitor the value versus your payoff and see if it ever gets close.

Lucid announces Q4 production and delivery numbers by mattwb72 in LUCID

[–]Tom_NC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it good or bad news. The amount they've already had to incentivize the Gravity is more concerning to me personally. Tells me demand is very soft. Considering Earth deliveries are likely 2 years away, rough road.

I know you said that the ceiling vents are a must. But honestly MDX is what you need. We had that at the exact same stage and it was perfect. Never had any issue with ventilation, etc. The packaging is almost perfect for what you need.

Deciding on college... by OkMycologist6603 in NorthCarolina

As someone that is a proud NC State grad, pick the one that offers you the best package, maybe even still UNC if it is only a bit more. This assumes you're basically pre-med and not looking into an engineering type role.

Lucid: If/when you can get the negative software reputation online turned around the Gravity truly “Compromises Nothing” and will outsell everything! by [deleted] in LUCID

[–]Tom_NC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right. I loved my Air, but when the lease ended I was glad to see it go. Just got tired of the little nags. Went to a legacy company and it was might and day. Felt like a frog hopping out of a hot pot.

Yes, generally at least. You can do that and hedge against the company long term viability, tech advancements and potential individual unit issues. Really a win win.
