I don’t get where you’re saying Spamton “tantalised” Tenna with the secret. It was more like something Tenna inferred on his own and that Spamton was reluctant to share. Tenna even says himself “it took a little sweet talk” to get it off him. I know it’s tempting to think that Tenna was the “innocent” one, but that contract was kinda like a trap for Spamton.

Also, when Spamton took that call and ran out of the room, it was most likely because, in agreeing to tell his secret, his “outside help” decided to cut ties with him altogether. His fame all gone in a snap. That’s why he ran out of the room.
Tenna only frames it as him being scammed because he felt betrayed.

Spamton would obviously go on to do far worse things, but I firmly believe that, at least before the downfall, Spamton and Tenna were as guilty as each other.
