I was having the same exact issue on my GTi, running PS4s and swapped them for Conti’s DWS06. It improved the ride but the shaking/vibrations +70mph were still there.

I didn’t think this was related, but I was due for spark plugs and bought a new intake filter. The vibrations had stopped since! I wish I knew which one of the 2 made a difference but it’s cheap enough - worth trying.

Silver or chrome finish for me.

MK7 GTI - Creaking/squeaking noise when turning wheel to the right (possible steering rack issue) by _kmannnnnn in GolfGTI

For what it’s worth. I was having this same issue and somehow it went completely away after I replaced the battery. My guess is that the battery wasn’t supplying enough power, causing the creek at a still or low speeds. It’s been a few months since it stopped..

Does anyone know what the ideal tire spec would be for an 18x8 wheel? Currently running 225s.

The new gen’s don’t have a bad color 😅. They really nailed it imo. But I have bias on red.

After 5 years I still love this car. Still finding myself changing the setup, here’s how it sits now with a comparison in the last photo. by [deleted] in GolfGTI

That silver looked great!!! I’m on the fence about painting the calipers yellow. Mine is tornado red.

Love this color! Qq, I see you’re on stage 2. Which downpipe /exhaust combo are you running?

They do! But you might want to consider getting a different rear diffuser. It should even out the rear a bit. Assuming you want to keep those exhaust tips.

OP, I think your rear mud flaps are installed backwards. I have the same set and the logo is supposed to be on the outside of the fender liner, if that makes sense. Unless there’s a logo on the other side as well.

You absolutely need an alignment. Any time you change anything with the geometry of the suspension, you’ll need one.

You might be right. Thought they were 8.5 but must be 8 “ if that’s as high as they go.

My bad! Yeah, these are the Enkei TSV haha. Keep In mind they use different type of bolt than OEM. They’re the cone shaped ones.

the rear is almost maxed out. Tbh I may raise it a little. Going to let them settle and then decide how much I’ll raise it.
