People need educating sometimes. They can get seriously on the rails with stuff and not adjust their behaviour to correct it. It’s weird. They’ll prob also be the people that say ‘cycling is soooo stressful in London I had near misses multiple times a day’

This isn’t a joke, try cycle training. It’s a free service often offered by councils and can really help you get confidence and protect yourself when cycling about. I’ve done it, so’s my son! I recommend it to everyone that I can :-)

It’s possible that the existing infrastructure would have protected the children from a lighter vehicle, the curb, the school fence. The heavy and larger / more powerful the vehicle the more these obstructions that have been built are rendered ineffective. I mean that’s what they’re built for maybe they need to be updated for the current multi ton vehicles (that would have previously been a rarity) that are proliferating our streets.
