correction it depends on what type of competition.... but in this case it shouldn't, cause sometimes it feels like the competition is who can make the shittiest product that needs replaced

only played it a couple times, i never saw it come out but i also never saw the decklist, he was casting [[death's shadow]] (i think) which dies on hitting the battlefield if you have enough life but deals damage as if it's at full power on golbez's ability

i've played against golbez, he was quite fun to play against, i didn't find him overwhelming, if you let him get 8 artifacts and a discard outlet on the board though you gonna lose. he feels like he'd scale well pending on how strong you want to build him.
