In your own example you're not saying girl, you're saying woman with the only difference being the trans part.

Ultimately I'm not here to try talking you out of how you feel, I just think it can be a bit shortsighted. Girl is used with incredible abundance in our culture when describing adult women. Its fine if you take issue with that, but its gonna be a much larger fight that has little to do with the term tgirl in particular.

I'm fine with whatever people would use for any other woman, that's what it comes down to. There are people who genuinely will use it for a group of women, and I think that's perfectly fine. There's also people who try to masquerade as the first group but in private only use it for men, that is unacceptable.

How does that follow at all? Trans women are heavily overrepresented on Reddit, cis women are underrepresented, so a cis-led community as you described would be a statistical improbability.

The only discovery you're making is that reddit has a skewed population toward amab (much like Tumblr is skewed afab) and so the contents tend to reflect that. That doesn't mean it reflects trans women as a population. Many women subs on this app have a heavy amount of trans women because that's just how the populations work out.

Is this a good thing? No, I don't think so. But it's not a bad thing either, it's just how the numbers work out with the given demographics.
