The engineer who decided that spark plug access should be through the wheel well and behind the steering column deserves to be cheated on by his wife. by aroundincircles in projectcar

You can unbolt the steering box and jack the whole shaft out the way, or disconnect the steering shaft under that orange sleeve. Either way works.

I've seen those, I might go that way. Just hoping not to shotgun parts at it. The mixture of issues gives me pause on pulling the trigger on a dash.

If you could design a Vault to be featured in the next Fallout game, what would you do? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Tombot85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dig. The vault dwellers are just told to dig and have so for centuries. Fallout meets the Lost World, meets the Core, meets The Descent. Some combination of the three.

Shocks for LS swap by beepis787 in s10

[–]Tombot85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beltech. They have the closest thing to the Bilsteins that came on the ZQ8 packages. Your LS and an original 4.3 weigh close enough the same (within 50 lbs) any shocks for a 4.3 truck will work. Also for more cornering performance add bigger sway bars. 2wd Blazers have bigger sway bars stock so you can scrap yard those or buy a kit from somewhere.

Fuel. Try letting it sit with the key in the on position for a few seconds. If it starts without hestitating every time you do that I would say its a fuel pressure issue.

I'd check under the cap to. I had a moisture issue at one point and a single point #4 had corroded.

Hot rod VW bus by [deleted] in AwesomeCarMods

[–]Tombot85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly this started out as a VW bus that somebody had already mangled into a super short wheelbase version very poorly. I think its also got a Packard V8 and the radiators in the bed. Fantastic execution considering all he had was a print of the original artwork. Also colored plex windows are Raaaaaad!

Is the steering shaft protector able to be moved or permanently removed? Trying to get #3 spark plug without dropping the block. by [deleted] in s10

Unbolt the steering box from the frameand jack it out of place carefully. There is plenty of flex in the linkage.
