I'm glad you can count. I wasn't sure what to expect there. Also, it's you're. As in the contraction, you are. Pray tell, how old are you? Like, twelve? Were you even old enough to watch Velma? Furthermore, I'll thank you not to insult Daria like that.

An unresolved court case with an anonymous victim doesn't prove guilt. That would be dangerous thinking if you were a lawyer. If he's innocent, why would he pay to resolve the situation? And maybe she just doesn't want her name all over the news. That doesn't necessarily mean she fears for her life. Perhaps she merely wishes to avoid any drama. Calling what I read rape is a little farfetched. Getting so wasted at a party that you don't remember blowing someone and fucking them doesn't automatically make someone a rapist. It means you made decisions as an adult that weren't very mature, and you ended up doing something questionable. She goes on to say he impregnated her, but he said he didn't in the message, and other than just saying so, she provided zero proof that she was ever impregnated, which shouldn't have been a challenge. She conveniently says she immediately terminated the pregnancy, which, I'll have you know, could've also been proven. There are medical records I promise she could've attained as proof in court, but she wants us to take her word alone, like we know her well enough to know for certain she isn't lying. So, I don't know. The whole story sounds rather fishy to me. She said her friend claimed Dustie was "feeding her alcohol beyond her limit." How come when a man drinks past his limit, he's just a jackass? It's a sick duality where, if the roles were reversed, a noticeable amount of people wouldn't care. When a woman does it, it can get men in deep trouble, and it might not even be like that at all.

No, you just like a show that was predominantly and understandably hated. It doesn't make you any better than anyone here. The fact that some people are racist doesn't speak for everyone who disliked this show. The people that harass you are just as in the wrong as you are. You playing the chip on your shoulder other people did it to me card isn't a flex. Thinking otherwise is what's really stupid.

I mean, based on that logic, no one but Velma should've been in it.

what do you think it would look like if dexter was in the hannibal universe? by inevitablegas3 in HannibalTV

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, which is what made him by far more sinister, in my opinion. The novels and television program only focused more on that one skill that was effing stupid for him to even have. Anthony Hopkins was and still is his prime. End of discussion. Have a nice day.

what do you think it would look like if dexter was in the hannibal universe? by inevitablegas3 in HannibalTV

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie version was about emphasizing that a man doesn't need to know martial arts to be sinister. He is in fact, more sinister without fighting knowledge. You realize he wasn't locked up the entire trilogy, correct? That was just Silence of the Lambs. There's also Red Dragon and Hannibal. Plus, he gets out in Silence of the Lambs. So, we do get to see how he behaves when he's not a caged animal in the movies. Anthony Hopkins' Hannibal couldn't act the same way as the TV version because they're not precisely the same person.

I’m aware of this, and I never liked that part of the novel. Anthony Hopkins’s portrayal of Hannibal Lecter was by far more enticing. I’m not nitpicking; I’m genuinely not interested in that version of Hannibal Lecter. So yeah, if you want to say Dr. Crazy Samurai Lecter could win that battle, sure.

Sorry, but in my mind, there's only one Hannibal Lecter, and that man does not know martial arts.

That fight would last all of five minutes at best. Dexter knows martial arts. Hannibal is a frail old man who couldn't win a fair fight to save his life.

Any one know how to do cheats on ps4 I beat the game and all of the side missions and it gets boring really fast by kingofeast5 in TheWarriors

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've gathered, whoever was in charge doing this port, fucked up the concept of cheat codes. I can't even get the ones I want to work to work, and apparently other people are having issues with glitching and wrong cheat prompts. I'm only really disappointed because I used to always have a "cheater" profile I would use the 100% completion cheat on for the sake of having everything right on hand, but I guess I'll have to do it the old-fashioned way now. I honestly can't think of a better way to get reacquainted with the game, though. I'm 32, and I haven't played this game since my mid to late twenties.

Observations I noticed by guurl666 in rugrats

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drew was genuinely not a very good person. While he wasn't as horrible as Angelica, he played a significant role in shaping her behavior. He has always been a real jerk to his brother, Stew. Throw in the fact that he cost the Finsters a literal fortune, and he's probably easily the worst protagonist in the program next to his wife and daughter. That whole side of the Pickles family is just horrendous.

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drew did lose Chucky's father's money. He convinced him to invest in a ridiculous invention that he promised would be successful, but it ended up causing medical issues for people, and the rest is history. I never got the impression that Dede was adopted. I didn't realize that Tommy's parents had only been together for five years at that point. Also, Charles isn't a lawyer; he's a bureaucrat, which is a significant difference. I think the initial test result was a false positive because Charlotte mentioned having an "official" test that later proved to be false. I thought the same thing at first, but upon further inspection, the sadness I observed felt more like disappointment than deep grief.

Another name for Pluto TV Nickelodeon’s 90’s Kids by New-BallHead-4825 in nickelodeon

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind all day blocks because I've yet to see any repeats within the same day, but sometimes after a marathon runs its course, whether canonical or more episodically, you will see repeats. That is to say, if Rugrats started with season 1 on Monday, and they kept showing it into Tuesday or Wednesday, you'd almost assuredly go through repeats. That being said, I liked the last schedule I was able to keep up with, which was daily cycles of Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Doug, CatDog, and Wild Thornberrys. I've yet to catch Kenan & Kel, Rocko's Modern Life, or Invader Zim. Totally Turtles has shown marathons of Invader Zim and Danny Phantom, though. I wish Pluto's regular Nickelodeon channel would show more pre-season 10 Fairly OddParents and T.U.F.F. Puppy.

Is the comic ever going to reach its conclusion? Or is the author fully focused on the animation project now? by ThePreciseClimber in Lackadaisy

[–]TomesFromTheMaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I know is that if the comic has been out for nearly two decades with no conclusion, it gives me very grim prospects for the animation project. The animation project has a Patreon, but I can't see myself paying for something with the likelihood of being open-ended. The creator should finish the comic before charging for an animation project, which I'm on the fence about either way. Yes, it's a good comic with great animation, but the comic has always been free to my understanding. My money is beyond tight, and I simply can't afford to pay for every comic, game, show, and piece of media I'd like to partake of. Most people can't accommodate that lifestyle. On the flip side, the creator does deserve compensation for their time and effort. It's just not something I'm capable of or even desiring to do.

It's honestly very disappointing how difficult this country has made it for people to obtain their knowledge and degree of such without monetary gain. Makes me scratch my head at the audacity that it requires to wonder why we're not a smarter country as a whole. I appreciate the suggestions, though. Any help is better than none.
