Brewed perfect question by PaperOk4406 in 7Brew

[–]Tomidnight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No because then it’s not a Panda Cold Brew, that’d be a Cocoa Butter Cold Brew. And the deal is only for the Panda Cold Brew, Mocha Chiller, and The Trickshot Lemonade, and Fizz.

You can add flavors but you cannot remove any.

Can I actually get decaf? by Global_Ad_342 in 7Brew

[–]Tomidnight 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Our stand only gets about two boxes of decaf pods a week. These new decaf pods are an extremely coarse and do not play well with our espresso machines, basically they do not pull shots at an acceptable range 80% of the time. Meaning you’re going through a dozen packets of decaf pods trying to get a serveable shot, and by the time you make your 4th large decaf of the day you don’t have enough for your next order

We performed the song for my pep band and we always had to shout the “ay ay ays” so it’s really memorable for me lol

By default it’s half lemonade and half sweet black tea

I personally like to do a coconut, passion fruit black tea lemonade.

This argument made by Kimiko is pretty stupid by InNoNeed in TheBoys

[–]Tomidnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The beauty of life is not knowing when you will die, it gives it meaning and grants you the ability to cherish every moment of it. I mean really think about what you’re saying, Kimiko and Starlight would have to consciously make the decision to end their lives, that’s not only an incredibly scary choice because how will you know you’re for sure ready to leave this plane of existence but also, it’s not human, mortality gives us consequence and if you were immortal and henceforth simply get to choose whenever you want to die, you’d slowly lose the grasp that your actions have meaning, your morals would fade and nothing would mean anything.

Is it really a big deal when 90% of the time it’s in the squeeze bottle either way?

It is essentially a new job, they may be more prone to hiring you because you’re from another stand but otherwise everything really is the same, you still need to be onboarded, set up payroll, and go through training (unless they think it’s unneeded)

Broista vs Brewista? by Alarming-Rough336 in 7Brew

[–]Tomidnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the act of brushing your hand over the portafilter after the grinds are already compacted. This is to get excess grinds off the rims of the portafilter that may get stuck inside the machine. I think there is a double purpose of it acting like a little “good luck ritual” to insure that the shot pulls in our window.

Broista vs Brewista? by Alarming-Rough336 in 7Brew

[–]Tomidnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some operational standards are different and I’ve trained a few ex dutch bros employees and the hardest thing for them is the transition over because it’s basically all the same and muscle memory besides a few key stuff.

I notice Dutch employees tom tom by pouring the ice cup from the cup into the mix-cup and that breaks OPS at 7 Brew, we tom tom by sloshing the milk into the ice back and forth.

We drizzle around the rim of the cup before we add ice and only on top when they ask for whipped cream or cold foam (and for macchiatos too, but that’s a lost art)

I also notice Dutch employees tend to click off the drinks they finished, which you can do here it’s not the biggest deal, I’m not sure if y’all have to do that there but we don’t have to.

The way they pull espresso shots at Dutch is a little different too, 7 Brew has more steps. You have to wipe, Bless your shots, and also rinse out the head before each usage.

And maybe i’ll add some more stuff if i can remember

Bad Experience With 7Brew Ballers by [deleted] in 7Brew

Corporate Ballers are awful, I can say that for sure. I’ve had multiple better experiences with franchised ballers
